I agree....it is rediculus that people assume lazy and poor diet when they see an overwieght / obese person. as i posted earlier in this thread. In defense of Scousedon he did call himself a hypocrit.

lrrh77: Hi Sarah...I think what Scousedon meant by the tax payers...are those that are obese and in need of medical treatment due to their own obesity and that medical traetment is provided by the taxpayers when they do not have any of their own insurance. Maybe I am wrong..but thats how i took it.

And I do get disgusted then. Just as our tax dollars revive people that suffered injuries due to meth lab explosions or overdosed on an illegal substance. That truely irritates me.

i know wot he meant but our government here takes off the poor n gives to the rich btw my name is berni lol
my point is too many people presume people are fat becos they eat too much which is ridiculus while they are themselves doing damage to their bodies be it drinking smoking taking drugs not eating the right foods etc etc etc

scousedon: Oh please, they are doing themselves harm, yes I do care, I have friends that eat far too much rubbish, already admitted I am a smoker and a bit of a hypocrit but they would advise me to stop smoking, fair enough, but both of us are costing the tax payers in UK and Ireland so it should bother all of us, do you not agree?????????

no i dont as i said earlier wud u tell a skinny person to eat less salads
if it bothers u so why do u still smoke u are after all killing urself

thats wot bugs the shit outta me skinny people always presume
i was a size 8 all my life til i got pregnant i got diabetes while i was pregnant and no amount of healthy eating n exercise will shift the weight i gained im still trying 6 yrs on

and fat n skinny people are entitled to eat as they want
but u dont see fat people tellin skinny ones to eat less salads do ye

scousedon: I think Konisberg was expressing the opinion that political correctness make those that feel dicriminated against make the potential discriminator feel uneasy. Maybe if I am wrong she will correct me. As a man I always feel I have to conform to standards I may not agree with. ie: going up to a "fat" women and saying eat less burgers would deem me a "fattest". I feel uneasy to express an opinion in case being accused of some "ism"

Konigsberg: I agree,Lee. People with overweight problems will go whole 9 yards to find an excuses, to blame somebody who is thousand miles away, media,friends, lovers for their shortcomings. Even more, I feel they even try to bring themselves being overweight to a status of discrimination.

I do not feel myself comfortable to be among overweight people ... I feel like it is something is wrong with me ... not with them.

Yash124g: That is very hard to deal with, but you just have to be there for your mum and for each other and go with what your mum thinks is best (which you are)...

Only comfort you have is that he now suffers no more, which you know, and that you will be there for your mum come the end of the year, which will be a very emotional time for all the family..

Not sure if there is still a governing body you can show your concerns to regarding those involved, thereby their medical work will be more closely scrutinesed and lower the possibility of it happening to another family??

Godsgift: Hi Scorp. My sister was schizophrenic and physically disabled. She was an in patient in a locked ward in Glasgow. She had been complaining about chest pain for months and the staff bulied her making her carry trays of food...she walked with a tripod by the way.

Finally on December 6 last year they sent her to the infirmary thinking she had a chest infection. Sadly she died on Christmas eve of breast cancer, the first of 4 which had by then invaded her body. I wonder what some of these people are doing in health care.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad.

No person should have to go through that, victim or family, especially when we are meant to be amongst trained professionals!!

I hope there is an inquest to make those responsible at the very least, struck off from their profession!!

And Betty, you did the right thing, my auntie's father was in a bad care home here where on several occassions, things were not as they should have been, with no-one keeping an eye on those who need their care at a critical time of their lives!! Thankfully, it is now closed & he is in a much better home

i want the fuckers to pay for they done but my mam doesnt want the hassel they didnt even do an autopsy cos that wud of showed everythin
