Ok... i instant messaged someone the other night... twas someone i talk with regularly. However tonight i got IM'd and well you have to accept it and then you are landed with the person on the other side.
In this case a twenty something guy from Sri Lanka.... ok maybe i am just a little tired of all this... internet nicey nice to everyone stuff...
but it would be better if you could see WHO was IM'ing you before you have to accept it then you can have a choice rather than having to deal with the person personally.

Have you had experience and how do you deal with it? Or maybe i should have another piece of cheese with my whine....

I recently played a small part in helping someone go through detox. I saw their struggle and pain. After several days of this and support from local AA members, they checked out and went home. Today they were seen walking the streets ... drunk again.

I overheard concerned people say they only give him a couple days before reading his obituary in the paper.


How are we to help this person?

Four old-timers were playing their weekly game of golf, and one remarked how nice it would be to wake up on Christmas morning, roll out of bed and without an argument, go directly to the golf course, meet his buddies and play a round.

His buddies all chimed in and said, "Let's do it! We'll make it a priority, figure out a way and meet here early Christmas morning."

Months later, that special morning arrives, and there they are on the golf course.

The first guy says, "Boy this game cost me a fortune! I bought my wife such a diamond ring that she can't take her eyes off it."

Number 2 guy says, "I spent a ton, too. My wife is at home planning the cruise I gave her. She was up to her eyeballs in brochures."

Number 3 guy says "Well my wife is at home admiring her new car, reading the manual."

They all turned to the last guy in the group who is staring at them like they have lost their minds.

"I can't believe you all went to such expense for this golf game. I woke up, slapped my wife on the butt and said, 'Well babe, Merry Christmas! It's a great morning for either sex or golf."

And she said "Take a sweater."

Hell, lets all get married to each other then we dont have to be single parents anymore! Then we can "multi parent" our kids!!

It is tough to be a single parent...especially with the teenagers but I think we are all doing a wonderful job!~

I agree, its nice to get a thank you, and heart felt one, it wasnt directed only at single mums, but also single Dads as well, as i am one.

Our roles are the same in bringing up our kids, Well i think it would be,
But I know its bloody hard doing without a partner!!! but our kids are worth it.
