I got home a little over 3 hours ago but I've been trying to come down off the meds a little before posting

All went well...I have a knee immobilizer that goes from my ankle to about 3/4 of the way up my thigh I'll be in this contraption for 2 solid weeks, then for 2 more weeks during which I will start moving my knee and then 4-5 weeks of physical therapy. No swimming for 4 weeks

All is well though. Thank you again for all the well wishes, thoughts and prayers.

Approximately 12 hours from now I will be leaving for the hospital to have my knee surgery finally. Two of my favorite people will be with me; my Daughter and that PITA Papa Pat. I have to be at the hospital at 9:45am and then my surgery is scheduled for somewhere between 11-11:30am.

One of us will let you all know how things go, but I'm sure things will go perfectly fine.

What you see is what you get with me. I'm always me no matter what, I can't be anyone else. There's quite a few around here that have known me for a long time and have seen all facets of me. I don't hold back anything. Though maybe I should at times Whether I'm happy, sad, mad, disappointed, frustrated or just plain numb. I'm positive, opinionated, loving, caring and will call people on their crap, just as much as people will call me on mine. I'm the same here as I am in person, and there's a few that can validate that.

Why would I want to be a different person here than I really am? That would mean I'd have to continue a facade that would be untrue to myself.

I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers and sending positive energy her way. I'm so sorry you're going through this, I know how hard it is. I had a friend in 8th grade that was hit by a train, but he wasn't fortunate enough to make it past the E.R. I know she'll be ok, it's just going to take some time for her to regain her strength. She's obviously a fighter, she'll pull through this.
