This is not a thread necessarily for comments (though you are more than welcome to...)as it it just to make a personal observation....

I have been on this site for 7 months...and what started out as one of the best experiences (it was something new to me) has turned sour.

In those months i have not seen so many threads and/or people get banned as i have in the past 6 weeks...and the funny thing is its the SAME people in the midst of these threads (and ironically enough they have no knowledge as to why/when/how the others got banned or threads got pulled)

I thought forums were for discussions and opinions (and though they may not have been your own, everyone is entitled to one) I saw so many people take things personally and then the mud slinging would start...
What happened to the care and concern for each other that i saw when i first came on here...the encouragement i saw people offer to each other instead of the insults...Valid questions and thought provoking threads got lost in the sea of "it's all about me..." threads and those that had valid points to make disappeared....

This became a soap opera of the worse kind...and i do believe that people have enough stress in their lives without adding to it here...
I think that its due time i take some "time out" from CS...though I know i will miss here very much...it really had become part of my day and my "family"...The friends i've made on here...know where and how to reach me...and for now that will have to do though i will miss the bantering....
I wish you all luck in your searches....

I went shopping with one of my girlfriends, we went to dinner, went to a meeting and then I came home and stayed up til the wee hours this morning, I was having too much fun here in the forums

My major is Art History and I'm minoring in Creative Writing and Archaeology, but eventually I will go for my masters in Art History and BA in Creative Writing.

The one(s) I'm working on right now started out as one book, but I have decided to split it into two. I guess you could say it's "life on life's terms" One is a journey in the life of hard knocks and a woman that has the courage to fight for herself and then find herself. The other is a journey into the past where a woman finds herself unlocking a hidden past that she never knew existed.

I guess since you love to read I'll have to send you a manuscript of them when they're done so you can critique them

Actually I'll be starting back to school in the Fall to pursue my dreams in the fields that I love. Between now and then I'm working on writing my first books and putting together my art portfolio with my sketches and graphics that I've done. When I go out, I usually go out with friends whether it's out shopping, coffee, or out to eat. I also go to meetings at least once a week to keep my sobriety in check. I also go for walks if I can...lately that's been hard to do with all of this rain and flooding we've been having here. That's my life as of late in a nut shell

I think I need to get out more

Hi JT, You just need to find yourself a co-driver. I'm quite sure Ms Right is out here somewhere. All of us truckers seem to have the same problem, that's part of the reason I came off the road to go back to school and pursue my dreams. We all have someone out there for us, it's just a mater of finding them. Have faith, you will find her.
