Thank you all for your help...

I will be talking to that person tomorrow, and I will be making a point of speaking to them about this. If they want to meet for coffee over the weekend and discuss it in person that's fine, but I refuse to put myself in a compromising position. It will be completely up to them what they're going to do for themselves.

I never said whether the person told me was male or female.

I saw the persons words with my own eyes and know that they are theirs. As well as know that they frequent the place where the words were posted.

The things that were found were found innocently because of something that was posted here in these forums and they were trying to see what was actually posted. Instead they got an eye full about me instead.

It really bites! I've read everything that was written about me and then some. I'd post some of it but it would only get deleted by the mods

Serenity, good choice for username, pretty.Anyway nice to meet you .I have seen you a fewtimes in forum.
Okay I hope I have this right,if yu know for fact that whatever negative is true then I would confront the person, but softly.Say "I wanted to see you to say that I am not a fool, but I am upset by what you have done and I hope you someday can change your ways.I am hurt but I will be fine".See him in a public place for this.Just my adivce.
No one is worth getting an ulce or agravation over. You are a good person and you will survive as you have lifes hurts in the past.Tell yourself that last 2 sentences.

he tommorow is another day, make it a good 1 by being positive.

Well see that's part of the problem. I'm supposed to be seeing that person and at this point I'm not sure I want to after reading what I read. I have more respect for myself than to just sleep with someone because they think they are Ricco Suave or Don Juan and apparently they think that's what is going to happen rolling eyes

You can let the person know if you feel the need to, and give them a chance to explain, but if you know what your friend told you to be the truth, then don't let em bullshit their way outta it. Expect and accept nothing but honesty and full disclosure, or close the door on it.

JMO, not knowing anything about what you're talking about or what the situation is. I'm such a I'd probably not say anything to them and just drop them and the whole matter, but that's not necessarily the healthiest thing to do all the time, unless it's a conscious decision about what's best for you.

Bottom line, do what is best for you after carefully thinking through everything and everyone involved. If you don't feel up to a confrontation, don't.

I can relate to the chicken thing. I've been chewing on this since Sunday. I've talked to the person several times since then but I'm not quite sure how to approach it, especially since I don't want to disclose any information on how I found out.

You haven't stated that you've got any concrete evidence that what this one person is saying is the truth ............ so why would you consider telling this another person to feck off without giving them the opportunity to explain what they've apparently been accused of doing? Innocent until proven guilty? Does this person not at least deserve a chance?

As I just stated above....

It seems that I have come across some things that were not very becoming of someone. These things were brought to my attention by a very dear, loving and caring friend. I'm now trying to decide what to do with this newly gathered information. I am at a crossroads of sorts.

Do I confront that person with the information or do I simply tell them to feck off and never speak to me again without any explanation?

I don't have an issue with confronting them, but I am still a little stunned by their actions and behavior. I'm not quite sure whether it is truth, untruth or exaggerated B.S. The friend gave me this information in order to protect me and to make me aware of this persons behavior in order to protect me. The actions of the person are in their own words, so I know that they're not someone else's.

Any ideas on what I should do?

dunno sigh dunno

Some people make mistakes and it's choices made on human error...

Others truly screw up royally for the choice made and others pay the price!

I'm quite happy and comfortable with me. There are times that I miss having a man around, but it's no longer a need or neccessity in my life today.

It's funny how things change and our perceptions change over time. I once asked someone..."Is it that you want me in your life or is it that you need me in your life?" They said "Wanting and needing are the same thing." I chose to walk away from them.

I am by no means racist, nor discriminatory, but there has to be some boundries drawn somewhere. Being a truck driver myself, I can't tell you how many docks I've pulled into and not one person speaks English. Last I checked English was supposed to be the dominant language of the US. It seems that in the last 20 - 25 years that this has gradually changed and not for the better. We now have politicians running for office saying that everyone should learn to speak Spanish. WTF!!!!!

I can't tell you how many times I've run into drivers out on the road that speak any other language but English. If you're going to live and work in this country then you should learn the English language. I know many that moved over here from foreign countries and learned how to speak English fluently, there's no reason why other people can't. From where I sit it seems to me that the people that don't learn are either too lazy or they think they're better than everyone else and feel they shouldn't have to. professor

Gee I wonder what would happen if people stopped enabling such things rolling eyes

Funny they started doing the extensive background checks in order to hold a hazmat endorsement with our CDL, why can't they also enforce the English language with holding a CDL!?!

BTW Most DMV's have the CDL manuals in English and Spanish, so that it can be studied in either language. Whether the actual test can be taken in Spanish I'm not sure D'oh!
