Really that would be nice and it still eludes me. So really I'm just content with being alone and having friends around. wine rose

Little Mary Margaret was not the best student in Catholic School. Usually she slept through the class.

One day her teacher, a Nun, called on her while she was sleeping. 'Tell me Mary Margaret, who created the universe?'

When Mary Margaret didn't stir, little Johnny who was her friend sitting behind her, took his pencil and jabbed her in the rear.

'God Almighty!' shouted Mary Margaret.
The Nun said, 'Very good' and continued teaching her class.

A little later the Nun asked Mary Margaret, 'Who is our Lord and Savior?'

But Mary didn't stir from her slumber Once again, Johnny came to her rescue and stuck Mary Margaret in the butt.

'Jesus Christ!!!' shouted Mary Margaret and the Nun once again said,'Very good,' and Mary Margaret fell back asleep.

The Nun asked her a third question...'What did Eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?'

Again, Johnny came to the rescue.
This time Mary Margaret jumped up and shouted, 'If you stick that thing in me one more time, I'll break it in half!'

The nun fainted.

PINE TREE (Particular) - loves agreeable company, very robust, knows how to make life comfortable, very active, natural, good companion, but seldom friendly, falls easily in love but its passion burns out quickly, gives up easily, everything disappointments until it finds its ideal, trustworthy, practical.

I'm very friendly and extremely passionate. So I have to disagree with that part. I am very particular and I seek truth, honesty, integrity, and it's very hard to find.

True...BUT don't forget there was a governmental policy behind one and a fight for survival behind the other...So...One can't even be compared to the other...wear your heritage with pride and the peace knowing that someone chose to fight for the survival of your heritage and it still survives today because of that!!!!!!!

Remember the Governmental Policy was what lead them to heed the warnings. Davey Crockett was a huge part of why many were not on the trail. He wanted the nation preserved. The Cherokee that were not on the Trail were striped of their birthright. It has taken many generations to reclaim it. I also had part of my ancestors on the trail. I know both sides. That is the reason for the Rose. I am extremely proud of my heritage. I am even attempting to learn the language. My father who is a vice chief in our tribe is now fluent.

Your poem was beautiful and if you don't mind I would like to share it with my father so he could get it out to our tribe.

The Trail Of Tears brings a tear to my soul every time I re-read history. sad flower What happened to the Cherokee Nation was and still is a travesty. There were many Cherokee people that were warned and heeded the warning and chose to stay "hidden" as traders in the foothills. They chose to live as "white" to protect their families. I come from a tribe that was not on the Trail. I am American and I am Cherokee. I wear a permanent rose over my heart that is colored pink. Part white for the Tears and part red for the Blood that was spilled needlessly.

Yes, there were Indians that were war mongers. Yes, there were Indians that were peaceful. I do believe that history has shown no matter what "color" the skin is, there have always been war mongers and peaceful people.
