jlw45: you have a suck ass view of history...and this aint the first time i've noticed it either...texas was bought and paid for, like no other state in the southwest....it was paid, NOT with money...it was paid with blood....blood of, not only anglos but mexican blood as well....all were considered texican...all wanted away from the tyrant santa anna....who killed for the mere pleasure of it....there were alot of lives lost over texas...and it was all in vain...as was my grand-fathers blood in WWI...and my fathers service in WWII...the tyrants are slowly taking over...and most are too blind, or just too stupid to see...i say blood spilled for texas was in vain, because it is going back to mexico...it might as well....because the new world tyrants want is to erase the borders...erase mine AND your identitys........it was all in vain....we have all pissed on our ancestors blood by letting them get away with it...we have turned government over to the lawyers and barristers...right back to the tyrants of old....lawyers becomming poloticians, now there's a bunch that cares about their fellow man...give me a f*cking break....we have all come a long way to get nowhere....to get right back where we started from....we should all be ashamed of our ancestors blood being spilled in vain........wiether your texan american or from whatever country, your forefathers fought against tyranny for there offspring....US....and we've took for granted what they've done for us...
i'll get off my soap box now, gutless wonders
First I agree 100% with you. Other than try to be a bit positive if you will, we are not nowhere yet, I agree it ain't lookin to hot but it isn't quite over yet they haven't got my guns. I know ,yet, is the next word, but if I die with my finger on the trigger I figure I won. It wasn't all in vain completely, alot of us old enough remember a time, a time when it was a really great nation. So we did get something out of it, whether or not it was worth it is a question for the ancestors not around to ask but I am damn thankful they did what they did. The only other clarification I would like to make if allowed is that WE did not actually "Turn the government over to the lawyers" WE were busy making a living and feeding kids ,right? And the bastards stole it, not meaning to split hairs but just thought that statement could use a bit of window dressing. In regards to DA 10th remarks on the first page; son , you might consider a trip from the north to Texas, I have alot, I mean alot. I am a northerner through and through but I admire those folks down yonder. I would rather be in Texas any day than PA. Son , Texas is probably one of the only states that could stand alone on its own, and as far as taking the money? Hell that is just plain smart. The world is easier to see if you open your eyes. Finally, exactly what is the author of this thread refering to when he says quote "What the government is doing" ?
Should Texas seced from the Union if the US Federal Goverment continues with what its been doing?: click here to read the entire thread »
