This was just a few months ago.....

"You are the most selfless mom I ever met. You are #1 my books"

This has been said in the past year before but it was the way this woman said it.

Anyone have any input? Men ARE such complicated creatures after all *smirk*
The smirk should've given it away.....

There is a great example of making a simple something into something very complicated laugh

I think we're very simple. Perhaps a little to simple. In general, we have a tendency to make simple things and situations extremely complicating.
That is funny.....

But I don't think you have to be a man to make something simple into a complicated situation wink

feeling the negative eh???

I do agree hugz, it's fear and doubt that catches ya into thinkin too much
If that is for me....
No I'm not feeling negative towards a new relationship. I fully trust that when the time is right that I will meet someone. But I wont go into it blindly and I will make ALL my decisions with my children in mind. They are the most important people in my life angel

Well, i can understand that, but don't you miss the feeling of going in with everything ??
Honestly..... NO!

To me, rose-coloured glasses are only blinders.

Also, most people here have children. You tend to be a bit more careful in making a decision.....

You know i think we all that are single have forgotten what it was like, to be in love or the puppy love stage or true love or whatever we had that we lost. Don't we all wish we could forget about the cheating that happened to us, the lying, the sneaking out to go see someone else, the dissapoinment of a relationship. But when you first became in love with someone the whole world went right. I think i have forgotten what it was like when my first love was with me, me and her was beautiful toghether, i learned how to love with her. Now, i have to weigh options on if me and this woman would work out. Can she handle my lifestyle, can i hers?? You know what i mean? I mean maybe we should go in blind and with our hearts wide open, to were nothing matters but getting to know that person.

Maybe we all should let the past be the past and think with rose-colored glasses on??? Anyone agree??
It is those rose colored glasses which got me in trouble in the past rolling eyes

I have learned over the years and years of dealing with stupid, sensless people that......you really can't help them.....those who won't help themselves. These are the people who continually dig themselves into a hole and act like it's the first time they've done it........and inevididbly, somebody always bails them out.

Leave the stupid people alone.........

I'm not being cynical....just realistic......

Example: The woman who gets beat up by her husband, presses charges and then bails him out of jail, only to get beat up again that very same night.....but then she is too embarrassed to press charges again......so the cycle goes on and on. Even when said woman is offered shelter.....protection....she keeps going back. And before someone jumps me for saying this.........you all know it is true.

JMO
I agreed with the first part in your post but definitely not with the last part.
Unless you have been in an abusive relationship and in a womens shelter it is hard to pass judgement. I have been there. After the second time in the shelter I was ready to leave. I was one of the lucky ones with a fulltime job and fantastic friends. A lot of these women are isolated by their abuser ( I was well on my way) and don't have a job. They are great in threats and make you believe you are worthless..... As we all know most of us don't like change, it is scary. And the abusive situation might be a nightmare but it is what you know.....

Because they are wired differently, my buddy actually did his doctoral thesis on why they were different.
While we were growing up learning how to fight and pull the wings off flies, they were growing up learning how to braid hair, and bake cookies
