my phone number used be 1 number off comet's (the electrical store) and peopl ewere forever phoning me by accident. i accepted this as something that people would do on occasion but after talking to a couple of people who said they'd been put through to my number by another comet STORE i kinda got a little annoyed. i phoned up the store which kept putting them through to me and they basically called me a liar and said when they redirected people to the store beside me it was via speed dial. they even suggest i change MY number if it was getting to me that much! well, i WAS pissed and i did NOT like their attitude.........so i decided to get my own back.
one day a woman phoned me and asked if we'd had a chance to look at her washing machine. i replied that we had indeed had a chance and knew what was wrong with it. she said ' really? what?' i replied ' it's F*CKED!!!!' .......then hung up on her. i can only imagine the look on her face haha.
another time, a woman phoned and asked if i'd managed to fix her hi fi (which was apparently almost 5 years old and the warranty was about to expire). she told me that she'd had it in the store for repair on numerous occasions. i told her how sorry we all were that she'd had so many problems and as a gesture, she could come to the store and pick a brand new one - no extra charge haha. i can only imagine the look on the faces of the comet staff
funny enough, comet changed their number soon afterwards.

seriously folks, u guys in the states have it easy. you're paying the same for a gallon as we are for a LITRE!! the knock on effects of the price hike is evident everywhere. grocery bills are up by an average 15 pounds (approx 30 dollars) and every other food/retail outlet is hiking up their prices. the cost of living (if you drive) has risen by an average 80 pounds (approx 160 dollars) per week!!! there are people a lot worse off than me and i despair for them, i really do.
