i don't believe there's anything clique really. i just think it's moer familiarity. once people read a few threads you've posted over a period - no matter how silly/obtuse/irrelevent, they'll give their tuppenceworth. on occasion i've been known to add to the silly threads, while other times i'm not really in that frame of mind so i leave it to those who are and concentrate on threads which interest me at that particular moment. oh, if there IS a clique.........can i join?? sticking out tongue

There are some days when Im particulary happy that I dont own a car - and this is one of them

Best of luck everybody and looking on the bright side, you may all just have a short working week coming up as even the buses are forecasting they wont last out too long - and once the pipeline is closed it could take weeks to get it up and running again.

What strikes me as crazy is that this whole thing is over a pensions deal - why the heck cant a company which makes so much profit, keep its workers happy with a decent pension and wages deal for its workers - maybe they will learn that, without the workers they dont stand a cat in hells chance of any profits at all

Fair deals for the workers says Trisha

it's all very thinking it won't affect you since you don't have a car, but it affects EVERYONE in various ways. imagine going to your loacal shop or supermarket to find they have no bread or dairy products since there were no lorries to deliver.........and even if they have delivered, chances are that shops will either be rationing or profiteering by inflating their prices. there are already fleets of tankers on their way to the uk with oil and i dread to think of how much extra they're going to put on a litre of petrol in the coming weeks sigh

i once bought a top of the range mp3 player (long before the release of ipods) which played vcd's. the idea was so the kids could watch movies or play mp3's in the car. it reached the car ONCE then found it's way into the cupboard. it's never saw the light of day again dunno
