Okay - probably gonna get blasted here.
The only time I was 'needy' was when I was a stay at home mom and lost my identity.
I would go nuts needing to talk to another adult. My hubby would come home, eat and park in front of the tube. He was tired. Didn't want to talk.
I 'needed' talk, flirting, reaffirmation that I was still sexy & smart, that he noticed his home and family.
I had to 'ask' for money.
I hated it.
But (this is the blasting part) people who say they don't want a person who needs them - it can be a catch 22.
My feelings are if you are in a committed relationship you need to need each other - otherwise, why bother?
If I continue on, as if I am single - they guy will think he doesn't matter.
So, as the relationship progresses we learn to need hugs, kisses, their humor, support in our decisions - etc.
Am I wrong here?
