When we are talking about money - which everyone here insists they don't want - can we define money?

Cuz I don't want a guy without the means to support himself (I think that would make him more of a booty call).

At my age and the target age I am seeking - I want comfortable.

A man that is comfortable with himself and the world, comfortably well off, comfortable with others having conflicting opinions.

I think eyes draw me. Humor and real interest keep my attention . .

Haven't gotten farther than that yet.

Ask ourselves, what is love?? The answer is: just a lazy excuse
so we can stop looking in ourselves and rely on others to bring out the best in ourselves. Love is a codependant concept that turns many into procrastinators, including myself. Did it, loved it and then cursed it time and time again. Why blame ourselves?. because its the true cause.

blah blah blah....Might as well ask what the meaning of life is. LOL

I really appreciate what you've said. Question though: If we understand and can reason that the lies are to avoid rejection or to gain approval, should we tolerate them and still love unconditionally?

Just curious as to your thoughts as I've run into this a number of times!

My compassion and understanding has been tested to the max and I'd welcome some enlightenment cause I'm having trouble with it!
I think this is an individual thing.

I personally cannot be around liars. They make me fell unsafe. That's not to say I haven't unknowingly been with a few. But once it comes to light - nope.

That's in any relationship. No liars.

My children were told at a young age - you may not get punished for what you did - but you WILL be punished for lying.

I don't think you can be an adult or feel like an adult if you lie.

I hope I don't think of those when I get up and have my coffee tomorrow.

Ugh.

Fear...of rejection at an early stage...the potential suitor might move on to somebody else after having been put off or just overwhelmed.

Fear makes us do stupid things...like forget that honesty is incredibly attractive when combined with other good qualities!
Hey Detente.

Isn't fear the reason people lie? Fear of getting into trouble as children and teens. Fear of rejection as adults.

Honest can be very sexy and uplifting. And empowering.

The liars aren't going to jump up and wave their hands.

Sometimes when we get slighted or burned we need a bit of down time - but then we shake it off and move forward. The only true failure is to not try.

I look at it this way - I can only be me. If others want to play games with me & hurt me - in the long run - it hurts them more than me. Cuz I am awesome and they are missing out.

I don't have to tell anyone on here my financial status, about my upbringing or my secret desires . .

We share because we want to. Because that's who we are.

Btw- the phrase "pretty is as pretty does" isn't always true.

Have a great night, morning or evening (wherever you are).

Try flowers. It is incredible. The colors jump at you - they're so bold its almost blinding.

I can't do people which I have been told is good. I guess it can be distracting.

Nice Thread, btw.
