First: Which country is the most "close knit", in other words seems unified and would support one another internally in most all circumstances??
Second: Which Country is most divided, where the people there do not agree and could even be closer to a internal "civil war"?
The first part of the question fits dozens of countries all over the world. Most are 'small' while a few larger ones are relatively very low in population, ie. Tchad, Niger just to name 2 on the African continent. Africa IS NOT a country.
Here in Europe, again the smaller are better in many ways; more homogeneous, virtually no immigrants or the problems they create or they simply do not allow any immigrants into the country, such as Lichtenstein which is a Royal Duchy; The Republic of Andorra, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Nordic and Baltic countries.
The larger the country, the more social, economic and Defensive problems they have.
The worst, in Europe, that is a virtual bomb ready to blow is Abkhazia now being occupied by Russian troops, getting ready to clean out all the 'Terrorist' groups based there since the early 90's, especially various 'Muslim' groups. Think of Gotham City from your Batman movies and imagine an entire country/ region like that, run basically by warlords, drug dealers, black marketeers and terrorist groups. It is wide open and have been operating as such with the full knowledge of the Govt. of Georgia for years. It is both the central hub for most drugs , weapons and stolen uranium and other materials for producing atom bombs all for sale to the highest bidders. Now . finally, the Russian Spetsnaz troops will shortly begin cleaning out these groups and people, then 'all hell' may break out, meaning Georgia that has been profiting from all the illegal trades, but other countries including Turkey which has for years been quietly waging a clandestine war against the various drug, weapons and terror groups coming and going from the Abkahzia area near the Turkish border.
