Claire, I sympathize with you, I really do. I know how hard it can be. I have been watching my father die from Alzheimer's disease for the last couple of years (he has been diagnosed 7 years now). Now he is a rag doll laying on the bed 90% of the time. There is no cure, however with your friend there is a possibility of survivorship, where there is none in dad's.

I too think about all the things we have not been able to do in recent years, nor will we ever be able to do again. Going fishing, drinking a beer together, talking about science (he was a science professor and botanist), building cabinets, fixing houses, and hikes in the woods together.

Your friend still has a chance! It might be slim, but she definitely has one.

You are doing good to try to keep positive thoughts in your head for her, when others cannot. Keep it up! You can do it, you can be the strong one for her when no one else can, that is true friendship!hug comfort

For fun I have taken several and I usually score well depending on the day. Anywhere from 119 to 162, so you cannot put much faith into them, really.

In response to:
Deep and American accent??
Accents, I am a natural chameleon. When in the south, I speak like a southerner, when in Erie, I often sound Irish...etc.

Yes my voice is very deep, and very strong. I can project it with out yelling, and have been known to resonate inside of a persons chest.

In response to:
I read their profile carefully and if they sound interesting, and don't have any unacceptable (to me) things listed in their personal stats (job/marital status/etc), I'll email. I'd never go solely by their picture if the narrative is absent or doesn't make any sense to me. Sometimes I'll just send a flower to compliment a person on something I thought was really cool, even though it is obvious that it would not go any further (they are not single anymore/looking for a different age or geographical range/etc).
Pretty much how I am as well, but if they are in the forums I like to see how they handle themselves there as well.

I have a couple actually, but they seem to be interested in others. So I will just keep my mouth shut.

In response to:
As i look on these Quotes being accumulated on this thread I notice many U.S. presidents of the past.

The thought occurs to me did they have or speech writers back then?
Jefferson and T. Roosevelt did not have speech writers, they were just great men, who knew what to say and acted upon what they said.

Right or wrong, good or evil, stagnation or living, these are things that are all relative to the individual.

So how can my views of right, good, living be the same as yours?
