the person for whom this thread is so graciously dedicated to, is a woman of beauty, and I am honored to have witness this smile, on my first day here.

see I'm from Mars, and my time here on earth is meant to collect specimens of smiles such as this, which could absolutely melt your heart, if you stare too long, and humor, which is truly what keeps us young. forgive me OP, for this brief moment, of taking attention away from this smile, yet do understand, it is not my intention.

I just wanted to say thank you to you as well, for sharing the modern day Mona Lisa, and oh what a differences time does make.

well, I don't know the beasutiful lady whose photo is displayed here, however, if my photo appeard without my permission, I would not take too kindly to it.

Well, I can't compete with 6 hours, but I have talked on the phone for 4 hours, (10PM to 2AM), so I did manage to get some sleep.

As i turns out, this led to a date and ultimately a friendship that is in place today.

This happened 6 years ago.

WHAT IS SO ATTRACTIVE ABOUT HAVING YOUR BODY PIERCED AND OPEN TO POSSIBLE INFECTION.??

I CAN SEE HAVING THOSE THAT COME OFF OR WASH OFF., BUT WHEN I SEE A MAN WHO IS COVERED WITH TATOOS PRACTICALLY ALL OVER, IT TURNS ME OFF. THE SAME GOES FOR WOMEN.
MAYBE A SMALL TATOO OF A ROSE OR SOMETHING OF THAT NATURE, BUT THESE OVERALL PATTERNS DON'T DO A THING FOR ME.professor

DEFINITELY NOT ON THE FIRST DATE, OR EVEN THE SECOND OR THIRD.

THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL WHEN THE RIGHT TIME IS, IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE FEELINGS OF BOTH PEOPLE.

SEX IS THE MOST INTIMATE THING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU, SO IF YOU HAVE SEX TOO SOON, WHAT IS THERE TO LOOK FORWARD TO?

UNLESS YOU ARE INTO ONE NIGHT STANDS, THEN IT'S NOT A GOOD IDEA.professor

I have never gone out of state, but have received MANY emails from, England, Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, Israel, etc.....
The only problem here is that these guys were 15 to 30 years younger than me.

I usually reply with a little advice to the effect that I have a son older than they are, and suggest they find someone closer to their age. The fact that they claim they love "older" women doesn't wash.professor

I thoroughly sympathize with you dear. I am a grandmother of 5 and have been there just like you.

Over 20 years ago, I thought I found a man who was to be my partner for life. I had already been married once before, but he didn't care, and we had a wonderful relationship, and were engaged for 7 years/ I wasn't intrested in marriage and was content to be with him, period.

When he proposed, I was very happy. He showered me with gifts, jewelry, and clothes. He was very good to my children. Everything was like a dream come true.

Suddenly, after 14 months of marriage, he decided he wanted a divorce. This came as a complete shock, not only to me but to my family and friends. I don't know what gave me the stength and courage to move on, but it took a little time. Fortunately my children,
who were grown by then, were a great comfort and support.

So you see dear, remember, nobody dies from a broken heart. And the saying that there is only one mate for you in the world is not true.
There are plenty of fish in the sea and you will meet your life partner. You are young and you will look back on this as a learning life experience. Just don't give up. Time is a great healer. Best of luck. SONGBIRD.wine

GOOD FOR YOU, YOU WERE ABLE TO STOP THE VIOLENCE AFTER 4 YEARS.

YOU DECIDED THAT YOU WERE NOT GOING TO CONTINUE TO BE A WILLING VICTIM.

SOME OF US WERE NOT THAT LUCKY. IF I TOLD YOU IT TOOK ME 18 YEARS, YOU WOULD UNDERSTANDABLY THINK, WHY? WHY DIDN'T SHE GET RID OF HIM
SOONER? MANY REASONS, LARGELY, WHEN YOU HAVE 2 SMALL CHILDREN AND NO FINANCES, IT TAKES TIME TO DOCUMENT AND GO BACK TO THE WORK PLACE, AND YOU FALSELY THINK THINGS COULD CHANGE WITH COUNSELLING. BUT SOME MEN CAN NEVER CHANGE, AND ONLY GET WORSE AS THEY GET OLDER. BUT EVENTUALLY
I DID GET THE COURAGE TO DIVORCE, AND SUCCEEDED IN BRINGING UP MY KIDS
AS A SINGLE WORKING MOM. HERE WE ARE MORE THAN 20 YEARS LATER, I AM STILL A SINGLE WORKING MOM AND GRANDMOTHER BY NOW. MY KIDS ARE WELL
ROUNDED, EMOTIONALY STABLE ADULTS, AND I AM AT PEACE.kiss

I must have been all of 18, when I was fixed up with a blind date.
The guy was average, a bit on the plump side, and not very appealing. I was polite, but there was no chemistry. That did not prevent him from proposing (on the first date). I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. All I could do was stammer that I was too young to get married. I never saw or heard from him again. (lucky me)!!!!!!!!

One good thing, your heart may hurt a hundred times in your life, but it can never break.

So force a smile on your face, hang out with friends, take in a show, go shopping. In other words, keep occupied. There is sure to be something better in store for you, if you only have faith.

How did you manage to have him stay even a "couple of days?"

Take it from an experienced grandmother of 5, it can only get worse.
If it comes to marriage, he will treat YOU like his mother and his mother like his wife.

In response to:
Very curious on this matter, do women really enjoy talking more after men do...?
it's only natural for the woman to talk more, because usually, most men just turn over and go to sleep, and to keep their attention, women just talk.
