I do understand the one-sided thing but I believe it is in our perceptions that we allow this to exist. Love does not expect reciprocation and if it is meant to be nothing will stop it. Likewise if it is not meant to be nothing will make it happen.
I understand that my discernment of this is not a common one nor do I expect any one else to see as I do. For some the best option is to move on to seek their heart's joy wherever it might be and to them I send my best wishes. Everyone deserves the utmost in happiness and fulfillment. In her I have found more than I have ever had and that sates any possibility for whatever my heart ever dreamed. That is enough for me. Do I want more? Of course I want it all but never without it being given wholly. I could never force, beguile, or otherwise stip a single part of her freedom for any desire no matter how much I could ever want. My Love is uncondtional and not revokeable in any way shape or form without destroying what it is completely.

Excellent post! thumbs up

The highlighted points actually apply to my husband and I also...It's amazing to think of all we've been through, together and individually...to finally end up at the point where we are now...smitten

BP, from your post here, and thinking about particular actions of some((not all, of course!))...You're one in a million...Apparently, some people are here, JUST to play or cause problems...or maybe just to boost their egos by see how many conquests, real or imagined, they can come up with...or whatever twisted game they're playing... conversing

are the people who are engaged/married on this site actually engaged/married or is it a virtual um thing?

Uhmmm...well, I really doubt many would post about being married or engaged on this public forum and NOT actually be...

As for some that would "doubt" the validity of such announcements...((I've actually never had this happen, just read on this thread that it's happened to some)),Think about it...why...doesn't make sense....dunno Or it doesn't to me anyway...

ONLY LADIES SUPPOSED TO VOTE HERE PLEASE so we can get a real idea of what they´re thinking.

I´d like to ask those of you who are patient enough not to vote, but to RATE the above items in order of importance to you, openly so everyone can see, in a post; and privately, VOTE for just ONE, the most important of all to you.

Feel free to add any "other" item you want in your post.

Let´s?

My "family", including my children, and my "relationship/love", are the basically the same...so I rate them at the top of my priorities...and hobbies and material possessions probably the last...

In an age where hyphenated names are common (one of my favorites was a lady named "Bang" and a guy named "Lamb" - hyphenated to "Lamb-Bang"...guess that was preferable to "Bang-Lamb? ), and where couples often retain their own last names, how do you feel about the subject?

I'm particularly curious whether women and men who haven't been married tend to view this issue differently from those who have been married previously.

My first marriage, I kept my maiden name...never changed it...

In my second...to whom I'm currently married to now...my last name is hyphenated.

I know this is a dating site, but I go through periods when I'm not truly in a place of wanting to date, for various reason.

My breaks have often lasted for years.

At this moment, however, I'm thinking I'm finally ready to start looking again.
Does anyone else ever go through this kind of thing, other than right after a breakup?

Yeah, I went through it quite a few times while my *now* husband and I were divorced...
