This is why there are so many churches/demoninations within Christianity. I'm sure the same is true with other religeons and those who do not believe in a God as well.

People will believe watever they wish to believe based on the facts or lack thereof as they see them. All this pissing and moaning back and forth only serves to move us further apart. Live and let live...

OBAMA, 08!!!!!!!!!!!

She may be warming up Dude but the fat lady has yet began to sing. As the old saying goes, don't count your eggs before they're hatched. You may inadvertantly give a false sense of security to those Obama supports and they may not even bother to vote thinking Obama has it sealed up. On second thought, keep on going... OBAMA has won, OBAMA has one, Yipeeeeee

It is true, guuns are used by those under the age of 18 to commit crimes. I hesitate to call them children because that denotes a certain innocence in which these young adults lack. I would hate to get rid of a thing such as a weapon when such a small percentage of the population uses them for illegal purposes and leave the law abiding citizens defenseless.

If we really want to save lives we would be statistically better off by outlawing vehicles. Many more people are killed each year due to DUIs, wreckless driving, etc than crimes committed with guns.

Holy shit Sparky, are you serious? So why in the hell are so many people calling Obama a terrorist? They magically came up with the code word themselves? Sorry dude, that's just ridiculous. Palin had a specific intent for saying pallin around with terrorists. And her blind followers ate it up all the way. There are all kinds of videos on youtube showing American's who really do think that Obama is a terrorist...all because of the nasty mud slingin waged by the McCain campaign.

I am serious. You've seen her commnts. If you choose to read into them as other's have then that's your problem and their. How can one person say something which is really specific i.e. "pals around with a know domstic terrorist" - meaning Ayres and people twist that to mean she was calling Obama a terrorist. Who are we to twist facts (what she actually said) and twist it to mean something else. So, I would have to mirror your comment and say "Sorry dude, but that's ridiculous" And for the record, I don't think the majority of people with this particular interpretation of Palion's comments are from the Rep party. Certainly some are but you came up with this as have others on this forum and they really aren't Reps. Nice try but a statement is a statement, like "spreading the wealth" laugh

No you didn't bring up the just jealous thing like so many have. I was venting some I admit. I'm very tired of the double standard so you bought into something you weren't doing, I apologize for that.

As far as Palin "never called Obama a terrorist, Muslim or anything else. She is simply showing his relationship with a known domestic terrorist."

I don't think this is simply showing a relationship.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/oct/04/palin-says-
obama-palling-around-with-terrorists-1/

CARSON, CALIF., (AP) - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday accused Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" because of an association with a former '60s radical, stepping up an effort to portray Obama as unacceptable to American voters.

Palin made the comments at two appearances in separate states.

"Our opponent is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country," Palin told a rally of about 10,000 gathered at a tennis stadium in Carson, a suburb of Los Angeles.

That echoed comments she made earlier in the day to donors at a private airport in Englewood, Colo.: "Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."When she was first nominated as McCains VP I researched her pretty extensively and found some things in her background that were inconsistent with the image of a reformer with a clean slate.

I've listened to her interviews and found some them appallingly uninformed.

I've seen videos of her at her church claiming God wants her to win. These things have made me uncomfortable from the start and still do.

Sky, thanks for your comments.

You did however point out again =what Sarah Palin said. She said palling around with a terrorist and the intent was clearly linking him and Ayres. What people choose to read into it is up to them.

Your other comments on Palin are your own thought out assessments of her and are valid. I may not agree but at least they are not inflamatory.

Sarah is no poster girl for what she is promoting. This actually proves my point rather nicely.

Obama is painted as a terrorist by her and if there is any protest about that potentially dangerous accusation against Obama, it is either ignored or swept under the carpet that poor (ass kicking) Sara is being 'Crucified" by jealous cats.

Please for the record;

I'm not jealous I'm pissed off

I don't want her life 'tho she is welcome to it

I don't dress like her, think like her or look like her and I don't want to

I think she is totally unqualified to be my next VP

It is totally sexist to protest that she should get special treatment because she is a woman.

I never stated or implied you were jealous of Pailn or anyone else. The only one bringing up sex as an issue in our discussions is you, not me. How is my defense of Sarah Palin sexist. If that's the case then I could make a similar illogical and false allegation that your defense of Obama racists. Of course neither is true. I only pointed out the obvious which is that Pailin has been attacked from the word go. She never called Obama a terrorist, Muslim or anything else. She is simply showing his relationship with a known domestic terrorist. That's fair game since it reflects on his judgement and credibility. She's also done a pretty good job attacking his economic policies.

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.
A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) American's were buying new cars,taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...

But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right. In the PAST YEAR:
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;
3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION
DOLLARS and prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~
$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT
PORTFOLIOS!

YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT! ....
REMEMBER THE PRESIDENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER ANY OF THESE ISSUES, ONLY CONGRESS.
AND WHAT HAS CONGRESS DONE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
NOW THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT CLAIMS HE IS GOING TO REALLY GIVE US CHANGE ALONG WITH A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS!!!!
JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YOU THINK YOU CAN STAND?

That makes sense. I remember when that change came and all the promises were made. As I recall. Pelosi and company swore they were going to Impeach Bush. Didn't get anywhere with that and I would imagine it was because like anything else, it was just BS talk.

The Dem Party likes to appeal to the lower income. If they keep it up, they will be appealing to everyone.

Why is it stealing when it distributed wealth to 98% of American business and not when only the rich big businesses get tax cuts????

Something's wrong with that picture...98%-2%...which sounds more fair????Yeah Hitler was gonna do a lot of things...but instead he ended up collecting just the wealth of the Jewish people for himself and his own regime...sound familiar?????

I think it could be determined stealing because those that need aren't the only ones getting it. But we've went down this road before.
