Maybe the Republican and Democratic party will be dead in 50 years? You never know. Serious and unprecedented crisis bring unprecedented changes...on any level...business, education, government, or sports.

How do you know? All we know is that the Dems and Repubs have led us to the reality of today. Change brother....outside of the box thinking. Enough with the same coach, offense, defense, and special teams. Does Tom Laundry come to mind? rolling on the floor laughing

It could happen in the next 8-12 years so long as the Dems and Repubs keep prolonging problems on all levels instead of fixing them and evolving new solutions. Seriously, the time for change has come. Certainly Obama, McCain or the dem-repub dominated Congress won't promote innovative changes. A third party with a wide coalition would be awesome. Green Party? Whigs?laugh

Yeah...probably time for a 1 party system in America....

I was thinking more along the lines of a coalition type government. To really represent the people. The two party political system is not exactly fair in terms of representation. There are so many Americans that do not identify with the Dems or Repubs...believe it Indy. The 70's and 80's are over bro!

I think America should have at least 5 different political parties. No less.

I heard today that Obama sent some $800,000 to Acorn.

Obama will not be some psycho radically leftist president that will throw our country into Communism.

And there is only speculation that can't be proven in court.

"In Ohio yesterday, a judge ruled against a GOP lawsuit that asked that people not be able to register to vote and vote and the same day."

Here, a link for you Republicans to gobble up. It's an article from your America, not the America that the voters will vote on. And the article has nothing but air.....

http://politicsandprosperity.blogtownhall.com/2008/10/08/barack_obama_and_the_saul_alinsky_

"As a community organizer, Obama had close ties to the Chicago ACORN chapter and trained a number of their leaders and activists. Recently Obama's campaign paid $800,000 to ACORN for "field work". In Obama's original 1996 state senate campaign (launched with an event at Bill Ayers house) ACORN members were used as volunteer shock troops."

I'm not for regulation, but I think ACORN should lose it's tax exempt status and receive NO funding from the federal government ( basically from my pocket). Obama is trying to keep his Chicago years low key...why wouldn't he brag more about all of his wonderful deeds as a community organizer.

Regulation is coming Indy, and it won't just concern America, I can foresee a global regulation with financial institutions coming in hopes of fixing the global market. I would even venture to say that some currencies my fuse together in the future.

The world is no longer the same anymore. Time to roll with the changes.

Now I'm not saying Obama is the solution, but it would be a small step to actually think in terms of innovative and radical change for the future.

I really do think the two political party system s a detriment to America.

The system has failed us. Now it's time to think outside of the box and do something new as opposed to the same old recycled bullshit.

In my business 101 class, Stress......the management of a firm makes these decisions....not the community around them. That way you have acountability to the share holders.

ACORN has its own lending program, it has pressured a special lending program in Bank of America named ACORN....and many others.

Stress, I bet if someone goes thru the bad loans......the bad paper from the Fannie and Freddies.....ACORN bank programs wrote a large % of it. Just a bet......no data on it.....but I bet their defaults rate is much higher than the countries.

Source:

But it does not prove that Obama pressured workers. I mean a case that can stand up in court, not to the potential voters. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae should never have had the liberty to run carelessly like that.

This thing should not revolve around Obama, but the system. Time to focus on solutions, not problems or conspiracies....and management protocol varies from company to company, institution to institution.

Are you for regulation now ttom?

Some good points and observations by everybody in this thread. I agree and can only add that now is the time to focus on solutions and not problems.

And change does not happen overnight. So stop thinking in fast food terms...

It's just exotic speculation presenting a distorted view and sophisticated spin to make a fallacy come true in your mind....

There are no facts to the allegations that you want to come true so bad. When the facts come about Obama's exact involvement, then I'll raise the white flag.

Keep diggin Republicans...The American voters have evloved, and just don't buy everything at face value.

It's not going to reduce Obama's increased lead in the polls.

The economy is fucked, and so is McCain. There is not attention getter or smear campaign/character assassination that is going to change this.

You said that Obama was one that taught the basics of registering voters AND pressuring banks to loan to low income/low income home buyers.

There is no way that will be proven. It's just the same old taking things out of context tactic. Maybe Obama wanted to give more chances to responsible low income home buyers. Nothing establishes that he "pressured banks". It's a desperate move at the end of the game for the Republicans. I would not be surprised to see a video of Bin Laden magically pop up like a week before the vote laugh

The name was changed ttom. Same company, different name...same potential problems. The Diebold AccuVote voting machine has also come under scrutiny especially by Ralph Nader's campaign allegedly.

"Rubin is credited for bringing to light vulnerabilities in Premier Election Solutions (formerly Diebold Election Systems) Accuvote electronic voting machines. In 2006 he published a book on his experiences since this event."

"Three voting machines hacking tests have been performed by Finnish Computer expert Harri Hursti for the nonprofit elections watchdog group Black Box Voting[1] and the producers of the HBO documentary 'Hacking Democracy' [2] who filmed it. The first two Hursti Hacks were set up in Leon County, Florida with the authorization of Supervisor of Elections Ion Sancho and these tests examined a Diebold Election Systems (DES) Accu-Vote OS 1.94w (optical scan) voting machine. The third Hursti test was conducted for Black Box Voting in collaboration with Bruce Funk, then-County Clerk of Emery County, Utah, on a Diebold TSx touch-screen."
