I applaud all of you!

Not sure if this counts for this thread... but it feels as tho it should to me...

here's the story...

I'm a single mother... trying to make it with no help from my ex-husband... I have plenty of resources to turn to (womens support groups, single mom support groups, the DA's office for child support enforcement, etc.)... My problem is that I know a whole bunch of single fathers... who have their children at home, raising them alone... there are no single father support services.

How can a country that "raves" about equal rights, equal everything, have so few resourses for a minority that is growing larger everyday...?????

I have written all the "proper movers and shakers" and still nothing...

I have tried my best to help the single fathers that I know... do what they have to, need to to survive... I have even gone to court for some of these friends... trying to help them get child support enforcment, restraining orders and the such...

I have helped quite a few of the fathers I know get visitation rights amended (so that they can see the children they don't have custody of... they can see their children)...

I think single fathers, non custodial fathers, and men in general are getting the short end of the deal... because they are expected to be the "stronger sex" they are expected to do it all... with no support... no information... no nothing...

well... that's a tough one

can't say my heart... that belongs to my kids (untill I find my "fella" then they have to share...lol)

can't say my mind or sanity... my kids stole that...

can't say my pride or my modisty... it's not something i'd wanna brag about anyway...

can't say my wisdom... havn't got too much of it to tell the truth...lol

can't say my soul... my ex-husband swears I don't have one...lol

so I guess I'd have to say my faith...

I don't avoid men with kids... I'm actually "drawn" to them... they know how hectic a parents' life tends to be... they are more understanding about the unexpected unavoidable postponements...

that and they ususally have the coolest toys and games....lol

Get this everyone... I live outside Death Valley... it's suppose to be the hottest and sunniest place in California....

I'm freezing my blue butt off!... since the beginning of 2008 (a whole what... 28 days...lol)... we have had more rain here than in the entire year of 2007!... not to mention Snow! (I am soooooooooooooooooooo allergic!....lol)

I moved here to avoid this kind of stuff (excessive constant rain, butt numbing snow... you get the idea.... lol)

I agree with Dana... move over... me and the "kiddo" coming to visit Dana... and I'm bringing all my blankies with me....lol

cold

bad boys are ok for toys...lol

when i do decide to settle down... i don't want a toy... i want a man... someone that i can turn to and aggrevate... and they won't get all "boxer bunched" about it...

I want a man that knows my cooking ain't "five star"...

I want a man that knows I'm human, I'm unique, I'm a bit on the bratty side... (ok... a lot on the bratty side....sticking out tongue ) but will accept me for me anyway....

I don't want a "pretty boy" who spends more time infront of the mirror than I do... I don't want a "prissy boy" who spends more on "beauty products" than I do...

I want a man... not a "boy toy" (bad boy), not a pretty boy, and not a prissy boy...

I WANT THE NICE GUY!...lol
