1987? Wow! Not much use for snowshoes at your house!

wow!

I guess I just like the change of seasons. About the time you are sick of one, another comes along. Personally, I'm ready for spring. All that talk about lounging on the beach has me longing for warm weather.

sigh

And as for shops...That's what the big city is for. If you had everything right there, you'd be the city. After all, you do need some incentive to get out and see the world.

laugh

Hope your car comes back in good running condition. Now I'm off to work. Have a great day!

Nice picture, Clair! But where's all your snow? We're still covered in it here in Minnesota.

And just a small thought for your car. Usually when a car is affected by wet weather, the problem lies in the distributor cap or the plug wires. The wetness shorts them out and doesn't allow them to do their job properly. A dead battery is a dead battery. Sometimes they need replacing no matter what the weather. So if the garage tells you that you need a new battery, distributor cap, and plug wires, don't think that they are trying to take advantage. Hope this helps.

Oh, and what else do you need but the outdoors, a beach, and a pub?
Sounds sufficient to me!

Instead of gun control, can't we just make it illegal to kill people?

That's all I have to say about that!

If you have valid reasons for condoning marijuana use, then by all means present your argument, or even just chime in with your "Yea, I love pot" mantra.
But to exploit the pain and suffering of others to justify your drug habit is nothing less than shameful.

Dogma on both sides. Just different dogma depending on one's affiliation.

Democrats are extremely dogmatic about the underclass and disenfranchised.
Republicans are extremely dogmatic about the sanctity of family.

I don't think either party is promoting anything immoral really.
We just have to choose which dogmatic philosophy we better identify with.

An interesting footnote...

Port wine. Usually very sweet. Alcohol forms by organisms processing sugar. Sweet usually means less alcohol. Port wine is usually about 20% alcohol. How can this be? When the winemaker determines the port has reached its peak flavor, he adds brandy or cognac to raise the alcohol level to 20%. This will cease fermentation (remember that fermentation ceases above 18% alcohol?) and preserve the remaining sugar. Port wine will also keep up to a month in a sealed, refrigerated bottle. Sugary sweet with no critters!

Thought you might like to know.

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine and those who don't.

As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found in feces In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember: Water = Poop. Wine/Whiskey/Beer = Health

Therefore, it's better to drink wine and speak foolishly, than to drink water and be full of shit.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service

Well, here are a few tidbits of information...

Wine usually runs from 13-14.5% alcohol. Beer maybe 3-8%. The point that wine will cease fermentation is around 18%. That means that unless the alcohol content is above 18%, you have to deal with some critters at times.

I enjoy wine and beer, and to overcome the circumstance of dealing with little friends in my beverage, I find it comforting to follow up my indulgence with a sip or two of bourbon. To those of you who may be unfamiliar with hard liquor, the alcohol content is usually around 40-50%. That makes it sterile. And it will kill germs and bacteria.

Of course, even if it didn't, it would still be well worth the drinking!

True Love is just one.....All others are good copies.

Or that is mistake, when we meet someone new, and falling in love, we forgot our past love.

We think, again: "That is True one".

And circle of love continue.....How long?

Does that circle have the end?

I believe in love and I believe in true love. The problem is, true love is determined as "the best one so far". You may never know who your true love is or was until you look back at the end of your days. I truly believed that every love in my life would be the last one. As it turned out, they were all great but I won't know until I reach my last day which one was my true love. So, until then, I shall continue to love whenever the opportunity presents itself. I will always hope that this love is the last love. All I can advise is, "Stay tuned".
