I've always been able to tell, when I'm face to face with them, but this email and IM on all these single sites is a whole new world. I wish I knew the answer to this one.

I have always said you could line 10 guys up in a row and 9 of them be the greatest men on this earth and I would fall in love with the a#$%#hole. But, lately I have been trying to break that pattern. So I have spent almost 4 months now, talking to one man, who seems to be wonderful. But in that 4 months, I have had one phone call and met him once for about an hour. He still emails and IMs like he is totally interested, but I need human contact. So, do you think the good guys might hold back a little too long and us women, get confused by the signals.

Thank you for validating my thoughts. I am second guessing myself all the time these days. Especially when it comes to men. I have been ignoring all the ones that say discreet, but I thought maybe I might be too judgemental and missing something. I have been reading a lot of the threads and you seem to be a great person. Okay, I'm new to this site. But I just wanted to get some opinions. When a man's profile says he wants a woman to enjoy discreet times? What does he mean? I immediately assume he wants someone on the side and is married or already in (what he might call) a committed relationship. But then, I am a little jaded. Opinions, please.

Yes, I found out about the fake people when I quit hanging out at the bars. People I thought were my friends, disappeared from my life. They were only my friend, when I was sitting on that bar stool. I don't even drink. But I hung out at the bars anyway for company. But it was getting old.
