It is funny how the left and DEMs forget about GWB's AID program in Afrcia.That he increased far more than other DEM presidents had. Or they forget about GWBs faith initiative program......keeping faith based

I will give you some facts, Fallingman.

The 6 years, I was in ......we trained solely to take on Russia......that socialist country of mention here. We had two killed in a night time training accident, when a tank like vehicle drove over the top on them a road check point doing 35 mph. Dead is dead.

I will tell what you my line and defintion between liberalism and socialism is. Yours is?

Here is mine. Socialism is the rule of many by the few. Democracy, the rule of law, the voting process, freedom of speech, press and other aspects of a gov't by a Constitution have been done away....in part or totally (hence one can define it narrowly or broadly).

Liberalism is political position and value system of a individual or group that espouses often times socialist views and opinions.

That is why......when earlier the DEMs could do the 50% electroral cut on FL/MI....why Obama and Biden can embrace open ballot vs secret ballot in unions...why when ACORN does its voter fraud and Obama does not condem it...when Obama has a long term relationship with a Ayers...to helping him extend a educational reengineering program to Chicago school that is at its base is socialism...then does his spread the wealth answer to Joe the Plummer...and has the most liberal voting record in the Senate...

That is a liberal showing socialism.

So I call him a socialist... big deal. He is big player, he can take the little heat I throw at him. It seems people like yourself and HUGs cannot.

ballot in our unions. We had open ballot in our unions for a time.
During the 30s.....the reason? Because the union leader could control the vote.

I think that there are regarding Facism. An example. Pre WWII Spain where they fought the ...Hemmingway wrote. It has various degree of facism but many want to hang onto democracy. That is why they the civil war there.

Captiolisn or Democracy.......I think that you are either support capitol or your done. Democracy.....some have tried to mix Democracy and Socialism......which with a Obama win....is pretty much where we would be in my opinion.

But why?

One of the world's biggest implosion of a gov't was the Socialist gov't of Russia. It had moved from being a communist gov't to socialism in the 90s.

The last I looked fuel prices had fallen substantially. The one that are getting hurt this winter are the one that sign early contract on home heating fuel when the prices was high. They did that becuase of the preceived fuel shortage and wanted to lock in a source.

Actually Fallingman.....in the college days......I was moderate.....in the
dorm or frat house BS session.....about 2/3 were liberal....1/4 moderate....and a small percent conservative. I was in the 1/4.

I have heard the liberal arguements. Fallingman. They got a lot of holes in my opinion. Look if socialism was so good......why did Communist Russia fall all apart? Because they, self imploded. That you have to agree with.

As much as leaders in a socialist society will say....fairness and equity......that is not how it gets played out when groups of people are making decisions. The Russian leadership group always had dachouse in the Crimea for vacations.....always had the best food....cars....etc etc etc.

With position in a socialist country.....comes all the benefits of
being a leader in the party. Out one side of the leader mouth comes.....fairness and equity.....out the other side comes I got a bigger house (car, vacation home, etc etc etc) than you do.

Then trying to manage a complex economy. With socialism......you have what? Remember the 4 and 5 year plans of the Russians?
They never came close to meeting them. That should have told them right away.....that this was a impossible task. They simply created a massive black market in the country that the Russian mob lived off of.

I have been in former USSR countries after the fall, Fallingman. I know what I saw.....I know fear when the locals talk of the Russian mob.
If that is what I need to learn about liberal and socialism.....I have learned it.

McCain's energy program, his expansion of international trade, his

The most recent Rasmuson pole on the economy. Has more of the country trusting McCain regarding the economy than Obama. First time that this has happened.

The American people would rather work for thier income than sit home and get a check.

Fallingman...here is how most Florida voters are removed from the voter registries. Voter inactivity. I think that it is 5 elections with out casting a ballot and the computer send thier name to the election supervisor as being inactive.

Then a notice is placed by their name for 2 or 3 more elections. If after that time, no ballots have been cast...they are removed.

America is a very mobile society. People move an average of 5 times in thier lives. Few report a departing move to a election office. If you let them build up on the registries.....you can have problems. Duplicate names....larger data bases.....so in the St. of Florida the voting laws allow for this removal process to occur.

I have not heard of a proven 'caging' situation in the country since the 1950s.

By the way since we are on the topic of fraudulent registration in the thread. Hugs and other have said in the past and in other threads,
that is not a crime unless the actual ballot of a bad registration is processed....only then does it become a crime.

I beg to differ, HUGs. It is exactly the same as if you gave false information to police officer in the course of his duties. There is two legal parts to this. One is the attempt to defraud and the second is the actual defraud, itself.

We have a well known Child murder case in Central Florida. The mother was arrested on seven counts. Four of the counts were lieing to authorities.

On the Florida voter registration application, there is in fine print, the Florida Statue of what attempting to file a fruadulent registration, or actually casting a ballot from a fruadulent from a bad registration.
Both are felonies counts.

So?

If the DEMs win and do open up our election system to everyone in the world. I want equal treatment. I want to be able to vote in Canada, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, UK, Mexico, etc.etc.etc.

One last little thingee on this.

The election offices are forwarding the fraudulent registeration forms to the FBI. The FBI has a special office (for a number of years for strickly voter fruad cases). That is why so far the FBI has done investigations in 11(?) ACORN offices accross the country...so far.

I can speak for one county in Florida.

A mix race county. ACORN attempted two years ago to place 1000 voter registrations into the roles, that were ultimately rejected.
By a then DEM election supervisor.

As for CAGING. I have heard of the concept. But never seen in practice here.

Maybe Rollingstone and Huffington Post.....can explain the 1000s of rejected ACORN voter registration forms that are at election office all over hte country from then?
