For a party of two....and you...

How long have I been on this site.....about 1.2 million words worth of typing. I'm actually on my 2nd keyboard. It's been worth it. Sometimes the only light in my room is from the glow of the monitor, displaying all the thoughts of people from far and wide. What we need, and it will come someday, is a holographic computer, where we're all visible in 3D. Add touch sensors to our bodies and we all might as well be REAL. Imagine the fun..... who just brushed against me with a taut nipple ? Don't know, there's 28 holograms in my room.

Nice spin.

If only there were mirrors. Lots of them apparently.

I kind of don't catch this one, so I will share one that I heard on the radio this morning....

Man goes to see doctor.

Doctor says, " you're going to have to stop playing with yourself".

Man replies, "why?"

Doctor returns with " because I am trying to exam you"....

I was thinking that we dedicate songs and quotes to others, but what would we like to hear for ourselves?

The idea has come about because of the song Amazing, by Blue October.........Now remember, it is to yourself, from whoever, and if you haven't found your whoever yet, then your whoever that you want to have......

Amazing, by Blue October...........

How am I supposed to breathe?
I try to relax. I touch your still frame
So I can watch you closer
And study the ways I believe I belong to you
I scratch at your waist line... your doll hair
I dig up the thought of how your eyes glow
So I make you my religion, my collision, an escape goat
So have I found your secret weak spot, baby?

[Chorus]
Can you pretend I'm amazing?
I can pretend I'm amazing...
Instead of what we both know
I cut to the punch line baby
Can you pretend I'm amazing
Instead of what we both know

Now our history is for sale
And for that I apoligize
You see you're my only know how
The study of when I believe I belonged to you
You see I've made you into something delicious,
My sweet ghost
So have I found your secret weak spot, baby?yes..........

You are so beautiful....Joe Cocker version...

I’ve just gone through a couple of situations, one personal and one involving the entire non-management staff where I work, which began with resistance, strong and angry resistance, and ended in bitter acceptance. I watched myself go through the phases of my situation, and I watched my co-workers go through the phases of theirs at the same time. It is interesting how at first there was resistance, anger, self-righteousness (not underserved), frustration, and eventually sad, even sorrowful, acceptance of the inevitable—for my co-workers, there is simply nothing they can do, save quit their jobs, and for me, I have also had to accept I have no choice.

My question is, when do we know it is time to give up on something? When do we continue to fight back? If it is a principle you are fighting for, should you go on fighting even though it may cause damage to your livelihood and security? How important does the principle have to be to go that far? Are we too accepting, in general, we humans, and give in too easily most of the time? Are we too absorbed in our own problems and concerns to notice or care when others are fighting something that is ethically or morally wrong, too self-absorbed to care or help them if it is inconvenient for us?

Retreat was just a thought

Day, the marker of time's passage.

all cheeky, hands on hips
and stalwart
in the light that threatens
news.
