its a free country, depending on the situation, whatever the person wants to do is their choice. until its illegal people will do it.

i think this may be a soft subject for some people....

Although I agree that life starts at conception, I do feel that there are cases where abortion is acceptable, and the scenario you cited is one of them. The young girl who conceives a child from rape, or even the older woman who does, should be allowed to abort it if she wishes. I also believe in the legalization of abortion because those who really desire to have one will do so anyway, and in my country many did even though their only option to obtain one was a quack operating in unsanitary conditions, often using a coat hangar. Many either died or were sterile afterward. Yes, there are those out there who abuse it, but I still believe the option of doing so safely should be available.

whether we like it or not, abortion is a huge topic in all countries, and it happens daily.

this is something that wont go away and is a major issue to many people.

personally, i think he has guts to start a topic like this.

hi sweetie had this one before ans will get heated. I don't think anyone has a right to judge ALL situations are different. However i do a problem as it being used as a form of contraception.

Thanks for the way you see it.I appreciate your mature views.These are real things which do happen.We have some faiths which would condenm the act but will not agree with abortion.It's often spoken openly.I always call a spade a spade and not a big spoon.

Honestly, if it's a sore subject for someone, then they don't have to come into the thread. I don't think any topic should be avoided because it might be hard for some to discuss it...if we did that, we wouldn't have any threads in the forums at all.

And you and I both live in the US, which is a free country (still, for the most part right now), but many on here don't since this is an international forum.

definately agree with you there. being careless, or perhaps sleeping around with no protection, then aborting a child that was your doing... a big no no in my eyes. like you say, its not contraception.
