It very well could have been the right choice for some. they just can't convey it.

Abortion is a very personal decision that should be made, when possible, by the two parents involved.

To have a hard and fast rule either for or against it is foolish beyond belief, life is never perfect and while there are grey areas we should take that into consideration.

The same should be said with regards to life termination through euthanasia, every case should be looked at individually as no two are the same.

Those who have to make these decisions are not trying to be GOD, in fact I am sure they would love God to make the decision for them, but are making the decision based on their own particular set of circumstances.

It is not for you and me to tell them what they should or should not do.

You have missed entirely my point, I have no bones to pick with you over your view of abortion, my post was directed at your picking on an 18 year old girl who has had to make a hard decision, that she is the one who will live with her action for the rest of her life, your comments were designed to cause hurt, to stir up her already delicate emotions and to lay even more guilt onto her young shoulders. I am not an abortion advocate at all, I do not go around waving flags and ploking my ass outside Family Planning clinics, but I do believe that there should be a choice.

I do believe that medical evidence and law has proven this choice to be available and with that I would support any person within my life who made that choice.

For the lady, who so bravely has written that she had her daughter as a result of a rape, then I take my hat off to you and give you full credit. I do believe that a child can be raised as this lady has done and it can be handled delicately and with strength as this lady has chosen. Again, she is one amazing lady who has been able to do that. Would I choose an abortion against those odds? I cannot say.

I will say, however, that there are times, such as a severley handicapped child, where the mother is offered a termination as a result of this, I would consider that option, I say, consider. I owuld consider an option where I was raped by a family member and there could be problems with crossed bloodlines.

If we are talking about Hitler and other people who have committed genocide on massive scales, I can see where you are coming from, we are all not afraid to comment on the horrors of this world and children being slain because of ethnic reasons, yet anti abortion views consider abortion just as bad. Do I think you are wrong in your views RNG? No, harsh in your view for those that have undertaken it, yes, but I do and certainly try to understand your point. People are going to have sex and I agree, responsible sex should be had, with the full responsibility of contraception being taken, which is the problem, there are too many women becoming pregnant without enough contraception being taken into consideration, which is only 99% proven that all contraceptions work.

I have been sterilised, because I did not want anymore children, therefore, I am at a higher risk of an ectopic pregancy, there are many women who can conceive, yet not carry a child and their bodies abort the foetus naturally.

Where a foetus is aborted naturally, do you feel the same compassion for that child that has been unable to live as you do one that is aborted medically?

I had no need to voice my opinion about abortion...it is well known. but I will reply to foolishness in the hopes people will learn what is right and wrong according to right and not my opinions. Food for thought is all. They will do as they please, but I hope it will be a better choice.
