The most scariest ones I've seen are mainly from Japan like The Ring, The Grudge and One Missed Call... The Saw from USA is also very good! What do you think? Any recommendation? :)

Specific scenes in the original "Psycho" movie still send shivers up my spine.

Scenes from 'Scream' terrified me.

Parts of 'The Others' with Nicole Kidman was creepy.

"Ode to a Vampire" with Kianu Reeves and Winona Rider, with soundtrack by Annie Lennox. Some of the orchestral music in the movie was the most haunting I have ever heard.

"The Shining", with Jack Nicholson. His female (name escapes me for now) co-star had a breakdown from playing her character!

"Girl Interrupted", with Winona Rider, based on real life story of a young woman who found herself admitted into an asylum yet she was perfectly sane. Scary stuff.

Oh, and "Sybil", with Sally Fields, whose character had true multiple personalities. Joanne Woodward played her psychiatrist.
Let's say. I got such a migraine. The character playing Sybil's mother was terrifying!
