I am glad you are happy, but I have a hard time believing that every state will recognize same sex marriage without a federal law being passed. But, I have been known to be wrong once before.

Most people in NH are OK with gay people. They like or dislike you based on how you treat others instead of a label.

I agree. I find the majority of NH natives to be open minded and kindhearted.

Here in Wyoming a person a judged on his/her character. If you want to be shunned, just push your views upon another person. No matter what your views are.

I've had several gay men tell me they thought Bush was gay. Apparently something about his eyes. One even went on a very long rant about "bad boys". It was pretty funny. I bet even Bush would have laughed a little over it,

Dr. Rice may or may not have been gay but she was a prime example of how far a black woman can go today. If she is gay all the better.

Nothing at all. That is the point looking at it from my perspective of wanting people to see a strong, smart, classy woman. If she is gay she is a positive example.

I assume you are straight and would have no problem with it if she were gay. It would be a non-issue.

That is the mindset I would love to see this country have.

Instead we've got way too many people that only want a set image of what people are supposed to be based on a stereotype. You're a straight white man so you are supposed to be, think, act this way or you are not in the club. I'm a gay black woman so I am supposed to be be, think, act in some other way or I am out of some other club.

God forbid we agree on anything or the world might come to an end.

Sorry if I gave you the wrong idea about my thoughts on Dr. Rice. I admire her and what goes on behind closed doors is her own business.

If she ever runs for president she has my vote.

I don't care what her sexual preference is. I really don't care to know. I respect her not because she's black, female or gay...but because she's a good person.

So could she count on your vote for P.O.U.S.A. too? I doubt she would ever run though. Part of the problem is she is intelligent enough to know what sort of hell she would be put through for trying to do what needs to be done.

What she does between her sheets has no effect on my life. Why would I want to know?

Sexual preference is not the primary thing for any of us. I admire her for who she is and what she has done.

Like I said before there is a certain amount of selfishness for me in thinking about the possibility of her coming out as gay if she is gay.

Look at the public perception of gay women: Mainly porn and diesel dykes. There is Ellen DeGeneres who comes off as everyone's goofy next door neighbor.

Even in the GLBT community people lock on to the images far too strongly.

It would be nice to have a gay woman in the public eye that the majority of people could look at and see that the stereotypes were just that, stereotypes.
