There was a thread earlier asking about women involved in porn, stripping and prostitution. I think many of us have a fair idea of the reasons some women might get into stripping but what about men? Are the reasons that a man would get into stripping the same as a woman? Is it viewed in the same way by society as a woman stripping? Would some treat the subject differently because its men taking off their clothes and dancing sexy. Comments please.

I honestly do not see anything wrong with it.

Iv danced for 10 years ,I own my small strip-a-gram business and have 13 girls in my books .Last year I employed 2 males for the first time .

It was a worry at first Il admit .Men are generally not seen as strippers and there aint much crying out of them .But I will say this ,after being to many male shows watching my own male dancers ,women - are absolutely disgraceful towards them .Iv stripped in front of crowds of 200 and not had a single hand stretch in the wrong direction but women ?! they grab and bite ............ yes bite ,they call them rude names and touch them inappropriately .Honestly ,this is why there are less male performers than women .

It shows now that female strippers now have more control and probably do more of the "advantage taking" after all sometimes a good slap to the face can hurt a bit more than a fist so men tend to avoid groping but what do male dancers have to protect them selves from women ?! nothing .Disgusting really .I take great pride in my crew ,we share a great respect for each other .If any of them need a thing Il provide it If I can .I keep my rates low and they pick their times and shifts ,not me .

I agree Morgan. Never had any interest in the Chippendales. And, to be honest, I think a man is sexier in his undies then naked unless we are in the throes of lust blushing

Midnight Safire was his name .His skin was the colour of midnight so he thought the name suited him . Honestly the guy was poetry in motion and within 3 shows had his own booking line .I wanted to do a piece at the UK Pole Dancing Competition with him so came along to watch him on stage ......... long story short ............. the lady tried to sink her teeth into his thigh but actually caught part of his thong and left testicle ................. he got 16 stitches for his price and stopped dancing from then on ................ not seen or heard from him since dunno
