One day you said 'f*ck it...I'm out of here' Packed up all your crap got in the car/on a plane and left everything/everyone behind? Did you do it on a whim, did you have a plan? How long did it take you to come to your decision. How did it turn out? Any regrets? What advice would you give to give to someone who is *this* close to doing just that? Good idea? Bad idea?

I think I am going through a quarter life crisis! And a sports car and hot young thing ain't gonna cut it!

yes i have done that a few times in my life...but i always took the kids with me. i am glad that i have had the opportunity to do it. i say go for it.

I did that about 20 years ago.

I thought I had good reasons and some of them did turn out to be valid. I left Europe and never looked back. I have few regrets and when I look at my kids, I have even fewer of them.
Advice: Never assume anything. Always know where you're going and with whom!
It's never a good idea if you scare easily.

Thinking on it now, would I have done the same knowing what I know now? YES!!!

Yes, I have. But it was planned to some degree. I have started over a few times and really don't regret any of them. Wouldn't do it on a whim though.

Yeah, Ive done it a couple of times. I was living in Fla. when I split with my first wife. Just loaded the car and ended up up her several months later.

Lucky for me...I don't have any kids. Just the dog who tries to run away everyday.

Not sure my reasons are what people might consider great BUT at least I have some reasons.

...........Yep...one night I just had enough of the bitching,game playing,whining,the manipulation.....and did exactly that,pack up my clothes in a suitcase and f*#k off.....and no regrets either.......

I have no patience and I don't wait 20 years to see if I can change them or to see if it will work.

I just did it one year ago, and I am so happy, from mexico to sweden, i left everything, I took my daughter, my dog and some bags.....

Man! This is what I am talking about!

Might give the dog to the parents as a peace offering!
