Apparently the Delhi High in India court has ruled to decriminlize gay sex.

Knowing how conservative India tends to be(I have yet to see and Indian movie that shows the type of passionate kissing or full on sex like its done in Holliwood)and I have also read that certain types of public intimicacy even among hetro couples is frowned on. There is a lot discrimination towards gays and lesbians and I expect there will be much protesting against this ruling.

I did see CNN here at school talking about this.

The sooner the whole world accepts it, the better. It should never have been treated as a crime in the first place.

What two consenting adults do is absolutely nobody else's business, regardless of their respective genders.

Two women I know just got married last Saturday, and I couldn't be happier for them. I don't see why others around the world shouldn't be able to do the same if they want to.

Well a lot of it has to do with the culture and religion.

Almost all of it has to do with a lack of education and fear. professor

Homosexuality isn't a disease, but religion might be.laugh

Decriminalization is a very small step.

PDAs really don't appeal to me. I like privacy for my cuddling and kissing.

There are number of homosexual peoples around here in south asia region.Culture, religion and regional laws are very stick against them.I have seen that Indian movie about Gay marriage, acctually they showed how they use the system to get residence permit by showing gays.Any way such movies are unacceptable to watch with family here. But movie was full of humour good to watch with friends.

Yes there's definitely going to be a lot of protesting. A lot of laws came about during the British rule in India, many of which exist till date.

Ancient Indian culture and traditions were quite different than as it is believed now in many aspects. The entire subject of sexuality being treated as a taboo was not the way things were seen in olden times.
