I recently went out to a singles night in town at a local hotel.

When I arrived they gave me a card with the name of a famous TV or movie star. I got Fred Flinstone and had to find Wilma in the Crowd.
All people in the room were mostly older than me so I danced with several ladies 50 plus.

Most times when I go out that's the age of the ladies after me. They call the "Cougars". I am 44, Where are all the ladies my age or younger? Nothing against older ladies. what should I do?banana head banger

age dosnt not change the kind ppl u meet its only u think theres something wroung with older or younger. theres an age old aussie saying"ya never ever know if u never ever go"

dunno Cant help but personally, i'm not into younger men and think the term cougar is horrible wine

I'm sorry i'm not being insulting that's what my mother called them. I'd never heard the term Cougar before.

Cougar has come to mean an insult to any older woman that dates a younger man. I think it the beginning it meant older women that prey on younger men like they were game.

No problem wine but i just think women that chase younger men are a bit sad wine and visa versa

Thanks for the clarification - would Demi Moore be a Cougar then? What does the age difference have to be to qualify as a Cougar. Very absurd in my opinion.

have met ppl that i thought were attractive be it 10 years older or 10 younger,if i feel there was a connection ,age would never be a factor

was at a singles bbq once (although my mate actually never told me till half way thru the night)yes all the women were older but it was a great night never laughed so much, no romance came from it , still a good night

That's great and I want to point out that there are many Beautiful ladies of all ages but I didn,t understand why I was attracting certain ladies.

Not all older women are out to grab a younger man, but are comfortable with themselves and able to just enjoy male company in a social setting without wanting sex wine

you did say they were all older than you, so no younger ones to attract, and just maybe they were at a singles night and just socializing dunno

There was a certain demographic missing so females from 30 to 40 were not there on the night. another mystery. do they have children and find it hard to go out?

maybe but if i had ben single when i was that age, i would not have gone to a Singles night in a million years, i would have gone to a bar or club

In Bournemouth where I used to live Singles nights were known as cattle markets.Sad but true.

As for the "age" thing there is no barrier where TRUE love is concerned and nor should there be.heart beating

Lol... that's what mothers are for... laugh

Technically she is wrong, this term - cougar - is for women hunting young men 18-30, about 15-20 years their juniors.

Translating/applying this term to a man in his mid-forties, his "cougars" should be well over 60.
