hehe Dru...you know I love taking the piss, as they say over here....

...what REALLY interests me about this question is....that it surfaces so REGULARLY!!!!

...at least once a week we get the "Dick Size" thread appearing, right?

Now, don't you think that is interesting?...I do. because I like to ask questions. Some of these questions would be the following...

1. Are men in general insecure about their manhood?
2. If they are, why is this so?
3. Is this insecurity genetic, circumstantial, purely psychological, or do women actually have an influence here?
4. I don't really care about this question, but what really intereswts me, is that it's a permanent discussion in this place, and in that sense, is of significant importance to a lot of people.
5. And finally...the most important question.....which gender starts most of these "Dick-Size" threads?...if it's men, what does that tell you?...

druidess6308: Then you're meeting the wrong women. Most of us truly don't care about size, but care that he knows what he's doing. I'll repeat, size of his heart and his brain are more important to most of us than the size of anything else.

That includes his wallet, Lago.

biggbull: I read some post on here and, it seems to me that more and more women have size preferences. I find that no longer dose average cut it. What is it that makes women think bigger is better. Why so fixed on having the biggest you can get. Why is it the man who suffers that anguish? I just want to know the deal.

You know, it's the same shit for women. What makes men think tighter is better or smaller or thinner or whatever. Why are men so fixed on having the smalles they can get.

Different people have different preferences. The majority of women prefer larger and the majority of men prefer smaller. laugh C'est la vie. Might as well get used to it.

Yes, it seems to be mostly men that start these threads, and that tells me that the answer to your first question is YES. Why? I don't know...but I do know my late husband didn't think he was that big, said something about having eyes when he's in the mens' room. So...apparently a lot of comparisons are made in the non-erect stage, when erection tends to level the differences a lot. (Yes, some grow more than others when they're stimulated.)

Maybe if you men would keep your eyes on your own equipment, and not compare yourselves to porn stars and the guy next door in the public loo, you wouldn't feel so insecure.

If I compared myself to female porn stars, or female strippers, I would have low self-esteem issues too. doh

JMO...but think about it, guys. It's your insecurity more than our words.

Yeah...I think the internet plays a huge role in this issue....if men are accustomed to seeing young dudes with 9 inch dicks strut their stuff online, obviously they will feel inadequate. It's the same in advertising. Advertising's main goal is to make you feel unhappy with what you currently have.
Same thing with anal sex...there's so much of it online, that every guy thinks that's "IT"...I have to do it!!......all these trends are media-induced....we're all guinea pigs...professor

As men we have always been curious if we measured up. With exception to the blessed ones, in which your opinion is irrelevant at this point. If this question is consistently being brought up, it may mean it is a issue for many people. I know it varies with women but, given a choice the average guys will always lose. These advertisements for enlargement pills are always to say we don't measure up to most women's standards. Where is the pill to make women's vagina smaller? With all this said, i just wanted to know what the deal is, from women..

nature has blessed me with average tackle and there is little i can do to change it! i,m happy with what i have and lets be honest if it all comes down to the size of your tackle why would you want to be with that woman ??????
for me its all to do with the kissing, laughing, hugging, touching ,tasting ,teasing (the tackle comes in there at some stage lol)
it does not sound so much fun if it comes down to just the tackle !
or am i totally off the mark ??????

Nope...you named the more important parts...the tackle isn't as important as the rest. Trust me, I've been with men who have more-than-average-sized tackle, and they think it's all that matters, so they never learned the other parts. And that left me feeling nothing but over-stuffed. wine

You must have missed the trend about women going for genital surgery and the vicious comments about women being too sloppily large, esp. those who have had a few kids. I've worked around men all my life, so I've heard the raving around the virtue of the "tight p*****" or the value of bonking a virgin.

When it comes to advertising, most people allow marketers to give people an inferiority complex. If I can convince you that you're somehow inferior, then I can sell you my enlargement pills or the latest procedure and you will think that you now measure up and I'll have your money. That's the way it works. The deal is that it doesn't matter one iota what anyone's size is. We're so f**** up in this country (well, I'm overseas now) that we don't even think we have any value unless we're perfect in every way...

Don't sweat the size. We're all built to pretty much match up, you know.

Yeah, we'd be a lot more realistic in our expectations of life, love, and human shape and form. Amazing, really! wink
