I received a call from my younger sister. After 23 years of marriage, her husband does not want to be a full time parent. He also found a mistress. This is in the Bible Belt of America.

I don't understand what the "Bible Belt" has to do with it? Are you saying he should be holier than the rest of us because he resides in a certain area of the United States?

The Bible belt is the belt you were whipped with growing up.
He has likely come to fear his own mortality and wants someone else to take his fear away....like Jesus used to do a long time ago...

In California it is 50/50 no matter what. I think there are laws there, that mistresses can be sued for the alienation of affection.

Some laws "there"....the Bible Belt does not have laws. States do and good luck suing, and proving, alienation of affection...if that is what your sister is thinking of doing.

most states are no fault states, and the alienation of affection died years ago, not all split 50/50 and i think ny is a tough one for divorce, used to be any way.. used to be in some of the southern states a man would not be convicted for murder if he caught a man in bed with his wife, had to be in his bed tho that was some of the bible belt
