Sure it happens. Proving it will be very costly in attorney's fees and then more than likely the judge will not rule for "alienation of affection" but just for the divorce in the end. Very difficult to prove in the United States. Proving the union was so blissful and oh so stable marriage before the mistress entered the picture is very hard to believe in a court of law.
Hard to believe someone, the mistress, has such a power over a man. Obviously, something was happening before the mistress got involved or the husband would not have a roaming eye to begin with, if true.
