Yes, true love between a man and a woman is possible, I've had it once in this lifetime. I hope to be blessed to have it again some day. When you do, there's nothing better.
It's not being able to wait to call him on the way out the door at work, and him being able to set his clock by you doing so. It's him knowing just how to touch you to make your whole body relax after a stressful day at work...just a light caress on the nape of your neck, letting you know that you're loved, and making the tension in your entire body melt away.
It's walking into any place and walking into his arms, and knowing you're home. And looking into his eyes and knowing that he loves you so completely, and no other woman captures him like you. It's being sick and having him tuck you gently into bed with a kiss on your forehead while he makes jello and chicken noodle soup for you, because you can't eat anything else.
It's staying home with him despite his arguments because you know he's reached the point of being afraid to be alone. It's spending months washing out the wounds being created by the chemo and radiation, and not minding it one bit. It's hating the fact that he has to leave, but not wanting him to stay and suffer any more. And it's loving enough to let him go, but to hold the memories of what you shared dear forever.
