I still believe in marriage - but then I'm older and a different generation. I honestly believe that the vows of marriage make a stronger committment and bond between 2 people - and that marriage is taken a lot more serious these days. I hope so anyway....thumbs up

I think soceity benefits from marriage. With all the new found thinking and common law partners having the same rights as married people, which they do after a certain amount of time in some countries, I still believe in the institution of marriage.

I shouldn't laugh, but i did.

Anyway, marriage means nothing to me, just not going through all that again, trouble is you are not just marrying the women but the family that comes with it.

with the connection of people from all over the world it is needed in some instances, but i believe in the old fashioned institute of marriage, we hear it is only a piece of paper, but to me it is protection, commitment,and even tho not needed is one step in a relationship.......jmo

I need to try marriage first then I can say how important it is. All my info is based on an "outside looking in" perspective. So far I like what i see..I think it has importance but isn't the end all of all. But still need to try it first.

There is only one way for me to live with a woman and that is through marriage. Old fashion or not, it is the way I think. In my small cirlce of friends and family this is still important to us dumb southern rednecks.

i suppose that when i look at a couple in the end of their days on earth..

and they seem to know and answer one another's
questions and needs without speaking...
holding hands...
working together.. overcoming obstacles..
sharing memories.. enjoying grandchildren
and great grandchildren...
passing on the wisdom earned in a lifetime.

i see the great importance
of two becoming one...

i do not know if i will ever find that...

it is however a treasure worth seeking...

Kind of agree with you, but for me it was the other way round.

I would not get married again, believe you can still show your love and committment to the person you want to share your life with, without going thro a ceremony to do it.
