I find a common problem that most of us have is that we don't listen when someone is talking. We are thinking about what we want to say next and we miss the point of the other person words. That goes along with your point of we are mislead by our own mind into believe something is coming ahead of the actual written words. Also, that is why scary movies work so well against us....

That depends on whether one is used to reading or one who doesn't lite to read much, IMO
I posit that certain people who don't read much or cannot read with their eyes only would have some trouble understanding the whole word concept...
Anyways, they're calling for rain here todaysigh

friends4now: very truebut mostly because I have seen a lot don't really read anything they just skim through text

it rained a bit here already--i was very happy


Most of the time, I know what a paragraph is going to say before I actually get to the words, especially with online news stories or blogs...
Now it's different for books and letter ( or e-mails ), those I actually do spend the time pouring over the words and ideas.
But I deem my rime too valuable to waste it on someone's else ideas that I do not agree with, ideas that usually were part of some other's propaganda which are repeated ad infinitum.
