I love humours and friendship. So, let’s not miss a chance to laugh and smile. I served air force for 14 years, its fine. But, now I work in airlines, so I have a chance to come and see you guys. I learnt martial art, that’s not interesting unless you want me to coach, but I am learning dancing, so we might party soon. I am a speaker-come-listener, so, you will need to tell yours. People around me are poor, I want to bring a change there. I am ready to serve your community or people in the same way.

#1 Flight to Kathmandu, Nepal

Today, I flew to Kathmandu and back. The weather was a lot cloudy over the airport in Kathmandu. It was my training for this destination. Very tired, going to bed. Thanks.

#It is early morning here. I am back here to add few more stories.

Kathmandu is mostly a tourist attraction for the Himalaya and what it offers. I used to fly 3-5 flights a week in 2006-7 with Fokker 28. When the weather is good, Himalaya is seen from a long distance with its snow covered picks. We make announcements regarding Himalaya and tourist passengers take a better aerial look and pictures may be. After landing we get 1 hour time before return. I used to spend about 30 minutes in the airport. Sometimes, I went out of airport for a fresh air or most polluted (smoke a cigarette). The people are very friendly for foreigners and tourists from all over the world visit this destination. It brings a multi-cultural flavour to this small, hill top airport. The trekkers, climbers come with their gears and their adventurous appearance delights all. Regarding flying, it is one of the demanding flights for the pilots and as such needs a considerable experience in an aircraft and a specialized training. That’s what I did yesterday in Airbus 310.
Last night flew Dhaka- Kualalumpur-Dhaka, BG082-083. We departed at 1030pm and came back about 7:30 am. We flew at 37000 and 36000 feet high. There were lots of weather below us and we were quite comfortable at our heights. These night long voyages are tiring.

I attempted a flight in one of those...Peshawar to Chitral.

The flight was aborted after twenty minutes, quite a roller
coaster ride.

When I was a young lad I only flew kites....then when I got into my teen years I used to fly a lot ...never even had to leave the living room tho.......laugh
Our flight is little longer and stable. Our abort case is also quite low, I aborted in thi route so far only once. But our punctuality needs to improve.
yea, I propose to share....could help us communicating ourselves better.

Tomorrow morning, flying to Karachi, Pakistan. Flying to this destination almost after a year and it always reminds me the past.

In 1947, India was divided into India and Pakistan on the basis of religion. Our Bangladesh was then the Eastern Wing of Pakistan. But soon religion failed to be a pivot for brotherhood, instead became a tool to exploit for the stronger, older society of Western Wing. The Bengalis revolted for survival and finally earned independence through a bloody war in 1971. I was 2 years old and once, during a raid by Pakistani Army, our family was fleeing along with others and shells reached few feet ahead and after our position. What an experience of brotherhood! So, I am going to their land.

Any way, this is my job as a pilot and I am always ready to transport people and goods there. But, this is what I feel in my mind as a human.

Today is the 38th birth day of our Air Force.

During the liberation war against occupation force from and led by West Pakistan, the many bengali airmen and offices of Pakistan Air Force revolted and continued to join ground forces since March of 1971. But at their heart, they had been craving for organizing an air wing. Finally, the Indian Air Force gave 3 aircrafts, an alloute, an otter and a Decota. The air wing of Bangladesh Liberation Forces was formed on this day in Dimapur airfield of Assam. Even the civil pilots joined. The small air unit - K Flight - played an effective role in the war.

On this very day, I salute the Indian Air Force, the indian military men sacrificed their lives and limbs for my mother land, Indira Gandhi the mother of bengals, mother Teresa the holy mother and the brothers and sisters of West Bengal who gave shelter to our people.
I flew Dhaka-Karachi-Dhaka on 29th. After take off, we found quite a clear sky. It was a 3 hours flight one way. We flew over the plains of bengals, initially my country, later west bengal of india, subsequently the mid of india. there were beautiful rivers and after about 1 hour flight, some forests came up. Some places showed a clear mark of past forests. We the pilots in cockpit talked about the Bandit Birappan and Lady Bandit Phulan Devi who had their reigns in these forests. They are the indian version of Robinhood you can say.

Then came a Hill Range south of Delhi, north south in direction of spread. Then there came up the deserts of india. It was all white below. I was thinking about the tough life that the people lead there. There came a populated region of pakistan for few minutes and then desert again. There was our destination Karachi. We landed and then I went to the airport shops, found quite few good items like leather jackets, decoration pieces, cloths and other fancy items. I bought a shal (a piece of cloth with embroidery work used in mild winters) for my mother. We took off from Karachi after an hour and this time the sea and beautiful mangroves were on our track. A river runs into the sea there and has few scenic islands there. We flew again 3 hours and had to avoid some big clouds on our route and made a landing in Dhaka.

Most importantly to me, I crossed a big foreign land of india and went to another foreign land pakistan. But these all were a single country for thousands of years. The division caused lots of sufferings, loss of valuable lives and labours, achievements of decades and has left people of brotherhood to enmity, rivalry, confrontation and mistrust. We could compete in love and creation; instead, we compete in riots, hostilities, and wars. When are we going to learn to live?

I flew a check flight in Dhaka-Katmandu-Dhaka route with a very friendly examiner pilot on 30th of the September (after a training flight few days back). The story comes next hopefully.
Flight to Katmandu

It was my check ride. But, the examiner pilot is a friendly character. The flight was easier than a regular flight. The examiner covered all the safety and technical points specific to this destination. It was an effective training for me.

As a flight, the route was comfortable. But, the destination was cloudy. we carried mostly the small business entrepreuners who buy their shop items from Malaysia and carry them to Katmandu. But on the way back, there were lots of students who study in Bangladesh. Some pretty girls made the cabin bright. Even a cain crew told me that she does not see so many lovely faces together so often. My captain told me to choose one and propose and I could have a luck there. LOL.

The Himalaya was not visible due to clouds.

Now on ward, I shall fly to Katmandu quite often again. Let me know if you are flying there. May be we could have a giggle in the air or at that airport/city.

On 4th going to Muscut, Oman.
A Local Story - the native town

We all feel probably easiest in our native city. It is probably prominent for those who left their native city and live out/away.

My grand ma is sick. Yesterday, I had a chance and I drove to my native city Mymensingh - an old city beside the holy river Brahmaputra with my mom and brother. After our first visit in the hospital, we visited our relatives and I had a chance to see the old places of my life - the place where we resided at my 2-5 years age (I don't remember myself), a place where I had a minor road accident while riding a bicycle, the government residential area where I lived 6-12 of my age before leaving for cadet college and my father till holding his residences till December 2009 after his retirement, the Brahmaputra my oldest friend in this life and I was born just beside it. I am back to Dhaka just after a day and bear the sweet feeling of being in the place I belong to.
