I am not really worried about the shroud or a dead jesus...i am rather interested in a real and alive jesus(PBUH). And i am pretty positive that Jesus was there before 2000 years and He is going to come back again to kick the butt of those people who call and worship him as the son of GODlaugh

Garlaschelli received funding for his work by an Italian association of atheists and agnostics but said it had no effect on his results.

"Money has no odor," he said. "This was done scientifically. If the Church wants to fund me in the future, here I am."

Yup, was done scientifically, backed by MONEY, and look who footed the bill. I'm sure we know what the purpose was for. Another fact that money rules science for some. doh

The idea that the Shroud could be reproduced with available materials of the time that corresponded to the carbon dating was discussed and shown long ago. This isn't news.

If that's the case, he is no different from the researcher who skews his/her results of the study funded by a major drug company!doh

Now that ya brought up funding by drug companies, can anyone name any important drugs that actually cure the ailment? Nope, because it's not a cure being saught overall, but just a simple patch-work fix that'll keep bleeding the pockets. There's the agenda.

Now to get back on topic; this funding was done to serve a single purpose...to try and disprove something not relitive to the funders belief cycle. And there's the agenda.

So it would now appear that earlier experimentation of exactly how the shroud was created (as a false holy relic) has been proven to be true. But I'm sure devout believers will accept nothing that would challenge their belief about it's authenticity.
