Have you met anyone famous? Maybe you got their autograph once, or shared a plane trip. Maybe you went to school with a celebrity -- or are even related to one.

What were they like? I'd love to hear about your brush with fame.

Yes.

I met King Constasntine and Queen Fredericka of Greece in Corfu when I was a little boy of four. I fell in love with their open-top car and wentb for a spin with them.

I also met the actor David Niven on an aeroplane when i was about seven years old.

I also met some actors and actresses in a hotel in Dubrovnic when aged about 8 or 9.

I met some gorgeous woman who was filming in Malta in about 1972 at a nightclub - I was seventeen. I remember dancing with her and was almost totally overcome by the awesome beauty of her cleavage.

In Swansea, UK, I met Linda Lucardi in 1990 (she was the original page three girl) in a restaurant at 3 a.m. in the morning (a friend had cadged some freebie restarant tickets from the local Casino).

Linda Lucardi was taking part in a pantomine 'Snow White and The Seven Dwarves'. She was lovely, and has a great personality. A blonde dancer was with her and the actors who played the dwarves. The blonde looked great on stage, but was nothing close up compared to Lucinda who must have been over 40 but was far more beautiful than the young girl in her 20's.

That's about it - apart from my Dad.... he was my hero! thumbs up

I met a lot of famous people because it was my job. I worked as a PR in show business (mainly with French singers - Serge Gainsbourg, Johnny Halliday, Michel Sardou,..) then in movies business. Can tell you Jane Fonda, Mel Brooks, Harrison Ford, ... are wonderful people. Great souvenirs with William Hurt and a lot of laugh with Clint Eastwood!

Like in "real" live, there are wonderful people and piss off people amongst the celebrities. But most of the real famous singers and actors I met were nice, friendly, polite, respectful, professional, intelligent. They also have a acute sensitivity and TALENT!

I have met numerous because of where I work. Only a handful I have had the opportunity to talk to, but I get pretty much in there face on occasion. I have vowed to keep there private life private and I'm not telling who I have met. Especially not a couple of presidents and my favorite, Eva Longoria !! smitten opps, that just slipped out. blushing

I think Robert wanted to involve all to share the names who carry the parameters like nice, friendly, polite, respectful, professional, intelligent.... which is the demand of the day

Famous persons are always ahead of others in everything they do. They need to work/think faster than others. So they need to be always a bit pussy compared to Robert

There are other ways than singing or acting to have your
talent(s) well-known worldwide. I'm sure you know that! cheering

Yes, I saw 'Dipper' the other night in Ceduna. He was SO much taller, his hair SO much darker, and mustache SO much bigger than how he appears on TV. He stared at me and I at him as we walked passed each other near the Foreshore Hotel dining room, but I was in a hurry to catch my flight and so couldn't stop to say hello.

(apologies to non-Aussies who have no idea who 'Dipper' is. He is a past Australian Football League player, and a celebrity for many years.
