gagagaga: beware of the future single guys
My first marriage was worth it, I got three wonderful children out of it, but my second was a complete waste of time and energy. Coming from that last, I would have to answer no, marriage isn't worth it when one seriously considers what one pays after divorce.
Not only that, but unless marriage can benefit both parties ( financial gains, citizenship, health benefits or other gains ) what really is the purpose of marriage now? The 'sight of God' is getting more shallow as the decades go by and the 'if you really love me...' argument is pretty weak too, so what is there left to marry for?
Unless you plan on having more children and don't want them born bastards ( which they still will be called at one time or another in their life anyways...)
