The uk's chief drugs adviser was today sacked after
criticising the government's policies on cannabis.

The UK's chief drugs adviser has been sacked by home secretary Alan Johnson after he criticised the decision to reclassify cannabis to Class B from C.

It seems the government are not in favour of good scientific
evidence getting in the way of their policy making.

I'm sure his replacement will be well chosen.

And that certainly doesnt fit with what the Chair of the Advisory Council on Drug Misuse Professor David Nutt has been saying.

Such as,

Cannabis should be reclassified as a class c drug.
Cannabis and ecstasy are no more dangerous than riding a horse.
The use of cannabis does not cause schizophrenia.
Cannabis, ecstacy and lsd are less harmful than tobacco and
alcohol.
Parents should be more concerned about their teenage children
drinking alcohol than taking cannabis.

Some may agree...some may say he is aptly named.grin

He may not have the right of appeal but other scientists are backing him by resigning from their jobs themselves in support of him peace

The whole mess is due to an inept PM who is frightened that if cannabis is less harmful than tobacco, that means he would have to ban sales on Cigarettes and lose the tax income of about 4 pounds per pack.
He needs this tax to finance wars
Just think how much better the world would be if we all smoked reefers and stopped all the fighting applause
