bestat45: right now, i have two border collies, and have fairly recently lost two small cross breeds.
I cooked for an entire year for my dogs as i didn't trust all the dry food. It was lots of work as i had to ensure all the viatmins and things they needed. I probably ended up cooking too healthy for them.
found a good dry food though, and cook a couple of times a week.
They love it.
I don't try as hard now, as there are good vitamins in all the foods that you mentioned.
I thought when i was younger that i would probably end up with a Great Dane, although that never did happen. Do you still have any of your dogs?
Well! There was no way to take them with me because I was moving from USSR to NOWERE. Had to give them to my friends breeders ( couldn't sell them. You know the feelings)

in France, Germany and Poland.
I miss them terribly ... and I will be back to breeding them and only again ... once we will settle down in a new house. But not so many of course. Too old I am. And Garden on a way too.
I agree with feeding a few days with a dry food ... Eukanuba I think the best for Large breeds. Thought still strongly belive that puppies needs to be fed with homecooked food.
Need to go for now.
Nice talking to you Bestat
