I am sorry to hear that. Do you have to stay indoors, in a closed and controlled environment ?

i feel so miserable and in no working condition
well, all day long (except for weekend) I stay in the office, then have a short trip home (again closed environment)
yeah i guess it must influence
i read that people living in rural areas dont suffer from such a thing, unlike those who live in urban areas
i am thinking of going to gym again to exercise regularly, i think it helps a lot

for me I would see a psychiatrist just to make sure everything is ok; I think so many of this disorders can be mental and talking to someone can help; good luck.

psychiatrist ? confused thanks lol. actually till the last I was refusing to admit there existed any kind of connection between atmospheric condtiions and human being. yet it is scientifically proved it does exist and major part ofthe Earth population feels the effect. what i was saying is that in nasty gloomy weather with grey sky I feel physical weakness and want nothing but sleep laugh as soon as the Sun comes back the bad condition is gone as though it never was there. i just want to know how I can get rid of such dependence

Ah, God bless cubicles and small offices. The gym sounds like a good idea, exercise will increase you endorphins, which increase your moods! Good luck and try to get out more.

Light up your home with alot of bright lights. It will definitely help your mood. SAD is a very good description of the disorder. It is rather common in our winter months here when there is not alot of bright sunlight but many snowy dreary drabby gray sky days. Many people feel very depressed much of the time during the long winter months.

At first the snow is lots of fun but day after day of gloomy gray skies for days on end can get rather depressing after a point. We long for bright skies and warm days again. Many of the people in our area are called "snowbirds". They go to Florida for the winter and get lots of sun.

Hope you start feeling better soon.

A good friend of mine has this condition and it gets quite serious at times from fall through spring. She put a full-spectrum bulb in her reading lamp and sits under it while reading for an hour every morning and evening. She exercises every day (nothing strenuous). She spends time outdoors any time the sun in shining, no matter how cold it may be. She said that she's always been like this but notices that it seems to be getting worse since she passed the half-century mark.
