Somer Thompson, a 7 year old god fearing child from Orange Park Florida, was recently abducted, brutally raped and murdered then her tiny body was discarded in a suburban rubbish pile like so much kitchen refuse...
Was this somehow part of God's great plan for mankind?

Jesus loves the little children
all the children of the world,
red and yellow, black and white
all are precious in his sight;

when we are good together god is a good god , when someone commit a crime god is bad
its not like that , god created us , gave us minds to think and choose what to do thenin the last he will judge us for good and bad
who raped that poor innocent child didnt hae heart or emotions
he must be excuted in a public square i am so sorry for this poor child

Ok, so if you take away the bible koran and all these other books, you still cant believe in God? What if there were no people on this planet just animals, would you believe in God then? Because the way animals survive is eating each other, do you think because a lion kills a zebra there is no God.

With all due respect Sanfrancali the lion doesn't brutalise, rape, murder then dump the zebra does it. It eats the zebra to survive as we eat chickens. I think your responses are way too simplistic.

Isn't it funny how when you ask esoteric theological questions you get hundreds if not thousands of right wing do gooders opining the virtues of their particular saviour, but when you hit them in the face with the brutal reality of the human condition they find it very difficult to quantify with their own personal religious beliefs and or opinions.

That is why like you morgan5, I have never heard a sensible religious based response to this question.

Animals eat each other to survive, as you've already mentioned...

People "eat" each other for a multitude of vile reasons,

including 'in-a-name-of-god' -- one of the ugliest reasons.

Don't we see it everyday? Even here in forums, complete strangers are getting at each-other's throats, not being able to sort out whose god is the better one.

I used to work with terminally ill children with severe physicaly/learning disabilities, and saw the pain and anguish first hand, I asked the question then but never got an answer.

My Grandaughter was stillborn earlier this year, the second baby my Son and his partner have lost. I asked it then as well still never got an answer.

Then I hear of children that are abused and murdered.

I lost my faith a long time ago

It is man being evil on God's earth, he will be judge.It's sad that this happaned and I see your point on were was God.It just don't work that way.

It is also in politics, anytime two people disagree there is always some one to point out how ugly it is, in a dictatorship these problems dont exist because anything the party in controll doesnt like can be stamped out, like during the election in Iran during the summer. Debate is good, the glass is half full, not half empty, and I apologise for how simple this is, I guess complicated is better.

Okay here is a rhetorical question. Did God rape, brutally murder and dump this child's body? No? Okay well I'm betting a 'HUMAN' asshole was responsible right? And what does being God fearing have to do with it? Don't God fearing people face the same problems and issues like everyone else, don't they bleed and die like everyone else? I don't know which is worse the ones who believe God should EVERY every problem or the ones who hate God because he won't.

the point of Jesus loving little children is, if he is in your heart you will too, that is why the world would be worse without him
