you are living in the same house with your man or wife, but you are not married yet, how would yoou work out expenses considering that you are both employed?

Common expenses should be shared without question. Those other purchases should belong to one or the other unless given as a gift to the other. Keep all reciepts for proof on both sides if one dies and the family disputes or there is a parting of the way between the two. If the relation is the same as a marriage except by law......then a 50/50 divide should be well.

Even once we were married, this would be my preferred arrangement: a joint account for the bills and major expenses, and separate accounts for our personal use. Expenses should be split according to proportionate amounts of each person's income. (Keeps it fair...someone who makes one quarter of what you do shouldn't have to contribute to half of the expenses, for example.) wine

If MY circumstances mandated it..
I would become primary provider..
and on the other hand..
were roles reversed..
I would expect (possibly demand) she do likewise..
but note..
regardless of any type of employment..
this being we WERE/ARE a couple..
only my opinion..
