Some will get on thier white horses and state they have nevered lied. That will be the next lie they tell. We all lie from time to time. I believe we all lie to keep from offending others.

I see nothing wrong with this and it is a normal part of life. We are sensitive to others feeling and therefore tell them what they expect to hear because it will make them feel better or at least not feel worst.

I often avoiding telling the truth to a person, so as not to hurt them, or even bending it a little, but will always try to avoid an outright lie.
Have lied in the past and it wasn't a nice feeling to do so.

I don't believe it's right to do all the time.....but there are times went you would do more harm if you didn't.......EXAMPLE

I agree. I have told some "white" lies to save many people's feelings...but i am a people pleaser...and absolutely hate hurting someone elses feelings...even if i have to hurt my own to make someone else happy. hug

So true......I did a lot of this when I was younger......and it did hurt everyone while I did it.....So now I will only bend on the big ones......I hate to do that but.....better that then the alternative!!!!!!!!

I think some people when asked if they lie, they automatically disregard the white lies.... Could that be it?

I think many people do not consider a white lie a real lie!

There is no doubt everyone lies, I guess it just boils down to the intention behind the lie, I think? dunno dunno
