I would say hang him from a short rope. Although Im not a great believer in the bible, I do believe in an eye for an eye. He should die the same way his victoms did.

Death and especially violent death will never be the right way to punish wrong doers.

Teaching peace and not violence and right from wrong will however stop those crimes before they occur. IMO

It doesn't have to be a violent death, as long as eradicating the bad seed is achieved for the benifit and safety of the majority.

Well we could start it here on CS and decide not to post threads that advocate death and violence.

My post referred to the OP who suggested that death by injection was "TOO GOOD" and he deserved to be blown apart.

My point is that we as a whole glorify guns and death whereas teaching right from wrong gets less press.

killing some as.h. like that only fixes his ass . do it publicly like on tv and it sends a clear message to others who might have that in mind.. or keep them in a cel ,bare no xtras t v camara on so ppl could chek them out on the net and make sure they are where they are supposed to be at all times.. it would send a big message wouldnt it

Well what he did was wrong in soooo many ways... however like most posting here, I don't think his punishment quite fits the crime he committed! It's too nice and far too neat.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Let's try banning people for a change and see how that works! LOL!

Yes, I get your point. The eye for an eye principle, if it involves violence will only serve to justify the act. This is the wrong teaching. But I still believe in a death penalty in special cases.

We are no longer allowed to discipline children in our homes or schools, this has allowed a generation who have no respect for authority and will, IMO, lead to anarchy, what possible good can come from saying we cannot smack an unruly child because it gives the child the idea violence is good, but its fine to kill someone who may have committed a crime.
And as for banning people not guns, well I think the past few days in America has shown that no one is responsible enough to own a gun, so okay lets keep guns but ban all ammunition other than blanks.

I have had many *discussions* with the anti death penalty lobby and various othar procrastinators but here in the UK and apparently in the states where the death penalty is still employed but none of them ever suggests HOW society should ACTUALLY deal with anyone caught red handed or undoubtedly proven guilty of murder and massacre.

So I would like to see positive suggestions that do not cost the law abiding taxpayers as much as keeping them in jail for a full life sentence especially where it means life or like in the UK where they can be let out after 9 years or so !!

As an agnostic I have always said the Heart and Head bullet at short range followed by automatic cremation regardless of their beliefs is IMO probably the cheapest way to go. The criminal can be sedated and strapped into a chair with a head restraint to keep the face forward while a 44 magnum could be mounted on an adjustable tripod and fired electrically from a switch behind a screen.

That would sure splatter that Last Meal!

If the UK can afford to keep fighting in wars we have no right to be involved with then I am sure the government can afford to keep locked up for good the very few who would otherwise be put to death, these criminals do not need to stay in 5 start hotels, but could be put in secure places where they can produce their own food, maybe have alternative energy sources for the lighting etc, as giving TV's etc would deter from the form of punishment. Maybe Victorian to some but it could also be a deterrent.

What makes the Death-Penalty in the US more expensive than life behind bars is that exhaustive Appeal Process they can go through!Costs Millions.
Enough Lawyers are willing to profit from that,and lobby against shortening it to a reasonable Maximum!
