That's possible, but would be easily noticed I think. I would assume the system is not properly seeing logins and keeping their status being logged in, or not as opposed to anything else.

you know it could be that,but you too can put on your file saying that you don't want anybody to see that you are on,so just go to your file settings and wammy it is in there and walla,magic yahoo,lol..
