If I look around in my own neighborhood I see more successful happy marriages than failure - by far - significantly more.

I don't know what the stats are. People claim that the divorce rate is over 50%. But it only takes a few inner cities to skew those results for the whole country. I think rual couples tend to stay together at a lot greater rate than 50%. Probably more like 80%.

Actually I think people who live in rural settings tend to be happier all the way around anyway.
